student sections

Boy ill tell ya, some of these student sections need to control themselves. I have seen these young kids acting like complete buffoons in the stands. It seems like the newark and the st. marks student sections have the worst behavior from what I have seen.

WHOA!! I've been to about 8 Newark games this year. I haven't witnessed any behavior that I would categorize as outside the norm for a Delaware HS basketball game. Do you care to be a little more specific about what you've seen by the Newark fans?

I have been to 6 St Marks games and have not seen anything bad or out of the ordinary. In fact been to more than 30 games this year and it has been pretty tame.

This is an old fogey post if I've ever seen one. Kids are too quiet at these sporting events, they need to cheer their classmates on, respectfully of course, but what's wrong with a little chaos? It makes the game fun. Case in point, I was at Conrad/DMA last night and it was a madhouse within reason. Administrators were quick to check students they felt were out of line, but for the most part, it was two rival schools having fun cheering for their classmates. If more student sections had the passion of Conrad/DMA, Delaware High School Sports wouldn't be such a snoozefest.

Friends has an issue as well.... I think there is a reason they have never won the DIAA Sportsmanship Award.

I have been to 2 Newark games this year and several last year and have yet to see any students there at all! The fans at their games seem to all be adults. Where are the students??

There are some there, however many of them, don't even pay attention to the game.
