The Sussex Central Golden Knights won their second Division I DIAA State Football title behind Dion Stephens 2 touchdown runs of 2 and 4 yards, Phillip Stratton 1 touchdown run of 65 yards, Zimir Gardner 1 touchdown run of 41 yards by defeating the Cavaliers of Middletown by a 28-19 score. Cavs qb Colby Chambers threw 3 touchdown passes of 23 and 25 to Zachary Caldwell along with a 35 yard to Zy Aire Tart.
The 2nd seeded Wildcats of Howard under head coach Dan Ritter won their 2nd DIAA Division II Football Title as they defeated the previously undefeated Auks of Archmere 42-6. Kevin Ignundo scored 3 touchdowns for the Wildcats, Keshaun Watson and Tyair Spencer each scored 2 for Howard
