Yes things are tight in the IRSD. It is a huge district with over 10,000 kids. As far as "lazy or indifferent" with the palying surface, what exactly are you refering to? Yes it is a grass field. It is old school. There are no crazy designs on the field or anything like that. It's just a football field. Also remember that SC can not really do anything special to their field without IR getting the same thing. As far as the scoreboard, I looked at it before the game and it seemed fine.(During the game the student section "Knight Krew" was in the way. Nothing that I would take my time to write about on here. Were you one of the 10 or so fans on the other side?is Sussex Central out of money, lazy or indifferent to the poor quality of their playing field and scoreboard that has bulbs burnt out all over it?

I'm actually going to apologize to myself for wasting my time to respond to respond to FrankCrum. Now that I realize who he or she is, it's upsetting that I will not get that 6 1/2 minutes back that it took me to write my post. What ever issue you have with Sussex Central and their students, fans, alumni, fields, location of the school or the color of the hallways, just remember........NOBODY cares. So put your cape on, dim the lights and blast Sussex Central about how the lines in the parking need to be repainted. We're waiting on the edge of our seats.Yes things are tight in the IRSD. yes I was over there - and the "old school" grass field compared to the grass fields at Seaford, Poly, Delmar, CR, etc are way better and I don't think these schools are busting at the seams with money. That playing service at SC is not good and the scoreboard did have bulbs burnt out. Put some pride in that field.

Once again please explain what you mean by the playing surface was not good? Did you play on it Friday? Did you walk across it? Was the grass not green enough or the white lines not bright enough? Have been to most grass stadiums in Delaware and I don't see a big difference.yes I was over there - and the "old school" grass field compared to the grass fields at Seaford, Poly, Delmar, CR, etc are way better and I don't think these schools are busting at the seams with money. Now; if the conversation was about Potter's Field, (formerly Baynard Stadium), I might agree.
