I sat back and read about how great Sallies was all week. How they were better in all phases of the game. A lot sh*t was talked and nothing was backed up. Time to lick the spoon.
Central controlled the game from start to finish. Sallies was lucky to be only down by 7 at halftime. Very basic offense. Just follow #21. SC has better athletes on both sides of the ball and showed today. Today is what Central fans have been watching all year. A well coached team that does everything well. That combination is hard to beat. So to those few Sallies fans in front of me in line to get in who said "this should be an easy one. They haven't played a team like us". Well now that you have stirred the pot......come grab a spoon.

Just so you know SC many of those just signed up Sallies fans are fakes.. Just trying to make Sals look bad talking poo probably St Marks kids,, There were a couple real ones though but most were fakes or even Sallies nerds talking nonsense.. just saying.. Congrats to Central.. The first time is always sacred

Congratulations to Sussex Central. There were momentary flashbacks for many of us older guys to Rich Gannon and Bill Vergantino running Tubby's Wing T. That offense is a thing of beauty.

Woodgreen. I think Catholic should be capitalized if you intended to mean the religion.

84, That is 4 D1 FB titles in a row for the Henlopen Conference.

See you at the tri scrimmage the Friday before Labor Day.

Sussex Central was the better team from the opening kickoff. Well deserved Championship.

Congrats to SC from a proud Sallies fan. They dominated from beginning to end. Some of the catches those WR's made were unbelievable. Back in August I thought Sallies would be lucky to even make the playoffs let alone beat Middletown by a lot on the way to yesterday. Looking forward to next year with an experienced group of mostly 11th graders, should be able to make a good run at it again

Wasn't #21 the Watkins kid that everyone talks about and worships?

Yes but #8 Bushweller (TE or even in backfield) lead blocks every play for him,, He goes in motion and the play follows him every time or they run off tackle his side every time if he is in at FB they follow him every time. H-Back is what they used to call it made famous by the Redskins a TE/FB hybrid position .. SC DC was on it though

Pretty sure Sals comes out in 2019 as the favorite in D1.. I think HVT returns allot as well and they play next year so that will be a good one. Dont know what SC brings back on D or O line. I know they lose a good QB but their RB's were mostly Jrs and a Soph home run hitter.. Peace will be back as well if he stays in DE not that I have heard anything but you know the SFA's off the world will come calling

As a very proud Central fan, I would like to put the game itself aside............ To draw as many fans as SC did being nearly a 2 hour drive away. Seeing roughly over 100 former players in their varsity jackets coming back to support Coach Wells and the school was amazing. Then to come back with the normal police and fire truck escort through Georgetown. But then off to Millsboro to run through their parade and back to school to change clothes. The boys were then off to Georgetown Fire Hall where a couple hundred fans greeted the team for a meal donated by some supports of the team. The celebration thrown together in just a few hours just shows you love and support from this small town. It may be trophy we seek but it's being SC FOR LIFE is what John Wells preaches that makes our town special.

Please let me know where I talked bad about the kid. Seems to be a great player.

Not a shot at the kid but the new pseudo Sals posters pumping the kid as superman. He is saying you should take those posts the last couple weeks from newbies claiming #21 was going to run trough SC with a grain of salt.. just teenage kids talking nonsense and not to refer to them..

proud, you should be proud. You should be thrilled with the great season and great win and not fixate on some trolls.
The tournament started in 1971. That's a long wait for the Knights so enjoy it.

Over the period of the last couple years, Wells and DiNardo have been criticized as dinosaurs on this forum. I was half expecting a sign at UD yesterday that said:

"Welcome to the Jurassic Finals."

Sorry not used to the new PC world. I'm old school

SC outplayed and outcoached Sals like you just don’t see that often... so basically what I’m saying is SC is just straight up the far better team, in every aspect. And the best team in the state when defense skill and coaching is accounted for.

So yes, SC made it very clear to any doubters who the best team in the state was this year.

Watkins had a great season period nothing else to say. Good luck to him and the opposing defenses next season. I see a chip in his future imo

That is why some kids get screwed up. They accomplish some athletic things and people get into the hero worship stuff. Their team loses and they get trashed. Both ends of the spectrum are BS.
Really not sure what you are talking about. I think you are looking to far into the comment. Never said anything about the young man himself. I pointed out that the offense ran through him. He got a large majority of the carries. That was it, so relax and dont make a big deal about nothing.

You are not really the focal point of my comment though I did quote you. It is the folks who get into the hero worship stuff and the folks who respond by then tearing a kid down.

You were not one of the folks coming on here and doing either...I think in an earlier post you talked about people doing that kind of thing in the ticket line.

Often times the parents of the kid are the worst offenders.

If you are not sure what I am talking about....that is fine. There are many times I don't know what I am talking about.
