The Leddie Brown Merry-Go-Round

Coach DT from ECA/Red Lion is there along with the former HC from IMHOTEP.. They are bringing players in just like IMHOTEP did.. It makes perfect sense LB4 has been working out with Coach DT all summer other than when he was working out with SFA

It's going to be interesting to see how he adjusts to college. He has jumped around to multiple high schools and I'm sure he is used to getting his 4-star ass kissed but at Alabama or Florida (guarantee he bails on WVU) he will be one of the lower rated kids and all those smiles and compliments during recruitment won't be there once practice starts. I hope he adjusts and doesn't revert to going to another school....then another school

you must not know the kid at all, because if you did you'd know he is one of the humblest football players let alone really good football players you will come across.

He is a hardworking kid, as well as one of the most coachable kids I've seen.

So to judge a kid without Knowing him, and basing it purely off the fact that he has been to 3 schools, and again not knowing the reasoning behind the moves is amazingly ignorant.

I would definitely agree that he's hardworking and I'll take your word that he's humble. I didn't say he isn't any of those things. I said that he's gotten his ass kissed a lot and changing schools seems to not be a big deal....neither statement is untrue, right?

Like I said, when he goes to a college and isn't praised anymore and isn't the best player on the team anymore that hopefully all his movement in high school won't be an indication of what will happen in college.

But I'm rooting for him. Hopefully on prime time games he lists his school as Smyrna. Or at least throws them in the mix (ECA, Smyrna, St F for a week, Philly school)

Reading the link Dove provided we found out things

1. Coach DT is the DC at NG
2. LB4 is from Philly
3. LB4 Dad still lives in Philly
4. He has worked with and done 7v7 all summer with Coach Albie and DT
5. NG is doing the same thing they were at RL.. Training program and bringing in those kids

Neuman Goretti is a national basketball power and they want to be the same with football. Why you say.? Think increased alumni donations. ST. Joe's Prep and LaSalle went this route a few years back and never looked in the rear view mirror.

What might these other schools do so they don't go the route of RCA/ECA?

At least he aint going to a pop warner team like UD... Taking he his talents and playing against the big boys in college...

What do you mean? Building programs happens everywhere in private schools. Red Lion was the wrong place to do it. The school already had theological strife and devide when Betters left and Pusey passed away. The church/school was devided over the choice of the new pastor Swami who was younger and more progressive

None the less even at more established Catholic or Prep schools who lower standards to admit ball players to build a program such as Gilman and Calvert Hall there is always backlash and eventually the schools pull back and return to their roots

Education is the most important part my friend. As long as both young men get educated that's all that matters. At least with that education they won't be living in section 8 housing like you do

This is the second "anti-UD" post you made recently. What happened to you with UD that has left you scarred? I went to school there six years, met my wife there, and now have two sons in attendance at UD. It's a fine school and their football team is hardly 'pop warner'.

I think UD is a fine school. Last Administration really screwed up though pulling the rug out from under KC Keeler.

Not UD in whole.. Just football program is a waste...

His education ended after failing 6th grade for the 3rd time so he's not aware of how's good a school UD is.

@youjustme, it's the basketball board mentality that you can only do well if you leave delaware and play in a different state....it's sad, a lot of people in the last 10 years have moved to the first state to raise their families but lack the pride that us locals have in our state. UD is a excellent school and these kids and parents should be proud to attend, great education and great atmosphere !!!!

my son goes to UD and could have played football but chose not to and I couldn't be more proud of him. My other son is going to Wilmington U as they have an outstanding video gaming design program and I am just as proud of him. college sports really isn't all that in the grand scheme of things

Marines Platoon Leaders Class . Basically Marines version of ROTC. He went to officer candidates school for 6 weeks last summer at Quantico and 6 more weeks after his JR year. Once he graduates he will be offered a 2nd Lt commission and if he signs up they will pay off his college loans but no he is not officially in the Military yet.
