Thursday Games

Mount over Dickinson 56-50. Potential 4 pt. win.

I don't know what Lisa Sullivan has to do to get her propers but last night was an example of her getting the most out of her players. Mount's gonna be a tough out.

Didn't help Dickinson that Spratley didn't play (or suit up or even get to the bench for that matter) til the 2nd half, but Mount just collapsed on Ewell and Dickinson's guards couldn't take advantage. That should be the plan for any opponent they have going forward.

Spratley went to get a haircut and came after the first half. Went right in the game....... Any other coach doing that?

WOW. I asked a guy with a camera and a Dickinson shirt on what was going on and he couldn't tell me. I see why.

That 31-pt loss to Sallies didn’t look good for Mount but bouncing back w/ 3 straight wins against Delcastle, Dickinson & St. E’s you should expect to see them back in the thick of things & probably ranked around 6/7.

4 games in 7 days against solid competition with Sallies being the 4th? It does make sense.

No excuses, these are 15-18 year old kids we are talking about...Sallies is simply a better team. That is just an excuse for someone looking for an excuse. These same kids play 3/4 games during AAU season sometimes.

That’s a quote of what the Sallies coach said. Don’t forget get there is school, practice, transportation including sitting in Howard’s gym for almost 7 hrs for a stupid triple header, beat Caravel in that stretch too, etc... I’ll take a good basketball team on the 4th in 7 any day. Sallies was clear the whole week. 3-1 on the week. Not bad.

Sallies ain't winning nothing.. Don't matter..Talking about them like they ranked..smh.. Please..

What rankings are you talking about? I go by the eye test. You cant name 10 teams better than Sallies right now. The record doesn't reflect because They scheduled one of the best out of Conference schedules that I have seen from any team in this state in a long time.

I'm sure that if they played Polytech (5-12) Sussex Central (3-13) and Milford (4-11) that overall record would look a lot different right now. Don't be to surprised when they head South and beat 2 "DownState" teams to open the playoffs. Enjoy the rest of tomato can season

Sallies is ranked ranked #5 in today’s News Journal rankings right where the should be behind Sanford, Dover, William Penn & Appo. Their only 3 in-state losses came to 3 of those teams & they have wins against the #6 & #7 ranked teams.

Eye test if you want to go there.. They don't have a shot against Sanford or Dover.. William Penn either.. That's what I mean Top ranked teams.. Sallies ain't a top ranked team period.. Don't mean nothing by coming down here and beating South teams.. Still Dover vs Sanford for chip.. You can book it..

Sooo now when we say “ranked” we are only referring to the top 2 ranked teams in DE? LoL

I will say that I’m pretty sure most people will tell you that Sanford & Dover will be playing for the Chip again if the bracket/William Penn allows it.
