Top Running Backs

Can't argue with him being the best on Delmarva. He's a great player and will be fun following him at the next level.

Is that the kid going to BC?
Yes he is committed to BC. I was looking for other running Backs in the Delaware, Maryland, Virginia eastern shore area “including all of Delaware” that have a college offer , or that’s is rising, and will likely get one. Usually the people’s that post on the state message boards know alot about these local kids. Thanks

People on here know plenty. However, most don't take kindly to new posters asking generic questions and offering targeted statements. If you have a commercial interest in finding running backs, DO YOUR HOMEWORK. That's what your get paid for. If you are just curious about who is who in delaware football, DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Enjoy the discovery process. Hint: If your first four or so posts are on different threads and ask the same question, no one takes you seriously. No idle conversation, getting to know each other, furtive glances, double entendres, nothing? Just diving right in, and going for the prize? "Tsk, tsk, tsk, that just won't do Clarice." We've seen you kind before pfss. "No, he covets. That's his nature. And how do we begin to covet, Clarice? Do we seek out things to covet? Make an effort to answer, now."

Ok again sorry to break any rules or message board ethics. Did not mean anything by it. I just find that these types of boards are a very good resource on top of “Homework” Just wanted some honest feedback from local’s. Again sorry to offend anyone

Will Knight. Best running back ever. Ever.

Pickle, where have you been? Welcome back. I missed your humor. Are you going to Baynard Friday night?

i live in denton where david bailey goes to school at north caroline hs, that fella was full grown man size in 9th grade, and he can really catch the ball well out of the backfield. nc also has a d lineman going to notre dame, his name is jameion franklin. im surprised md private schools didn’t lure these 2 away.

I did see the D linemen also when we were at the game, and knew about him before hand. He is ranked in the top 100 players in the country. These smaller areas are tuff to find big time talent. But there are alway’s Diamonds in the ruff. I am Spending the rest of the season in Delaware and to the Delaware playoffs.

I put David’s video on here to see if anyone knows of any rising talent in the area comparable. The problem with finding talent in the smaller schools is usually the coaching staff turnover is so high. That means often they don’t have anyone getting kids film out for recruiting. Plus the weak competition in certain areas hurts prospects. RB is easier position to project then a linemen. There is a couple guys around here but nothing on the level of David. We are looking more at rising freshman and sophomores.

There are a lot of exciting running backs throughout Delaware. During the season a lot of people on here tend to avoid talking a player up, just so it doesn't turn into "They said player X is the best they have ever seen" discussion. That discussion tends to heat up after the season, when all-states and such come out. However, if you read through some of the threads, you will see some names consistently popping up. Those are the players you might want to look at.

Hope the young man bailey does well, looked at the video, good looking back, probably a better fit at LB next level, easy to run over 5'8 150 lb kids in high school when you have his size, not so easy when you running into LB your own size or bigger, i wish him the best

This is often the case for big time running backs coming from a small school with little to no competition. They tend to be moved to different positions rather quickly if the staff feels he can’t adjust or lacks the skills to compete at RB. Time will tell with David.

Dover’s sophomore RB Vonnie Peace is up & coming if U want to see rising star RBs in the area. Downstate he is the next best thing behind Smyrna’s Knight right there along with Milford’s Bowman in my opinion.

Seniors: Will Knight (Smyrna), Grahm Roberts (Concord) and Kedrick Whitehead (Middletown)
Juniors: Stephen Whaley (Smyrna) plays receiver too, Jamon Kane (Woodbridge)
Sophomores: Javon Peace (Dover)

Just left the Delmar Milford Game think we may need to add their back Brooks Parker to the list.
Came here to watch bowmen and left here thinking that Parker was the best back on the field.

Parker is much like your boy Dailey. Grown man playing against little boys.. Only Parker was listed at 6'1 190 last year and no one even heard of him.. Talk about you growth spurt lol After tonight they will know

Let’s not get carried away . He is good but not on that level. And he is not my boy

In my experience man child athletes flame out or they become lineman in the NCAA if they become big enough... RBs are a dime a dozen . One thing is for sure 235 lb HS RB's don't become NCAA Rb's unless they are special like Dayne or Bettis

Man child athletes without work ethic flame out. Once they realize they have to actually train, and it gets hard. If you have a stand out recruit squatting 550 and benching 400 you know it took dedication and work ethic to get that strong. Same thing with their grades. You got a kid rushing for 2k yards squating 550 and has 4.5 GPA you can check the work ethic box off pretty quickly. The tricky part is the mental game. Can they handle adversity. That’s what separates most. And is the hardest trait to gauge

Checking out Kedrick Whitehead today hopefully the game is competitive. Also there seems to be zero film on this Parker kid. No YouTube , no hudle? Just the 302 YouTube from last night. A true unknown?

Its like that down south..no camps, maxpreps. combines etc... Then they complain woe is us little DE no one recruits our kids.. I think its a self fulfilling prophecy The adults feel they didn't get recruited or go anywhere because of where they are from. It's that small town mentality where they don/t like change and no one leaves because they couldn't

Whitehead is going to play LB/Safety in college. He isn't what you would consider an elite or even an average NCAA Division I or II running back. He will probably still be All-State based on the team that he is playing for, their record, and how he contributed to his team's success this year.

A simplistic analogy is that once the player gets out of high school, they quickly find if they like football or love it. If they don't love it, they should just simply find a flag football team and have some fun playing a game they enjoy.

That’s sad honestly there is some good players on that team. And I also noticed no stats on the kid published anywhere
