Seaford was approved for a week 0 waiver at yesterday's board meeting. Someone mentioned that they have 5 or 6 more waiver applications expected. The vote was largely in favor of granting the waiver, although a few superintendents and the medical representative, Dr. Brad Bley, were opposed. Mike Hart said having 11 weeks to play 10 games used to be the norm in Delaware.

It very well could be these games are pending waiver approval.. which is stupid, if you approve one then it should just be a blanket approval for all and shouldn't have to go through all these waiver hearings..

Mike Hart is correct. It was the norm for a 2-3 decades. The 11 team 3A structure seems to make it a necessity..

The board seems to be trying so hard to be politically correct and “do the right thing” that they’ve all but abandoned simple common sense when making some of these decisions.
