whts everyone's view on this weekends slate of games.....have some good ones, at least on paper!

Sallies @ Father Judge - Sals won the last meeting, and Judge isn't exactly opening eyes this season.

St. George's @ Appo - is this a must win game for STG? A lot of speculation on the Hawks being a playoff team.

William Penn @ Caesar Rodney - Penn has to win this game if they wish to get back into the playoff talk, and a CR win could help convince some naysayers

North East MD @ Cape -

Concord @ Dover

Hodgson @ Newark

Caravel @ Sussex Central - central can't afford a D2 loss, especially with Smyrna still lurking, and a Caravel win will help with some Playoff points.

Irvington NJ @ Smyrna - After 22 game win streak, could the Eagles really start out 0-3? Judy and company will love to start conference play and rack up the wins.

Woodbridge @ Friends - rematch! Could Bummys bus curse strike the Raiders as they have to travel up to Wilmington? Should be the best game of the week, if not competitive.

Sallies @ FJ - FJ does not look good at all, Sallies with a big win here.

St.G's @ Appo should be a good one. Huge game for both teams if they want to talk any playoffs for both

WP @ CR CR has stunned me, although it was APPO and a new D1 St.G's team who smacked them last season, CR has something to prove.

Concord @ Dover - Walk in the park for Concord

Irvington@Smyrna.... another tough test for Knight and the boys. Don't know the competition level well where the Irv boys are coming from but their QB looks like the real deal. Can see Smyrna starting out 0-3

I hope to see the Big S at Judge on Friday night. I got a kick out of your mentioning Bummy's bus curse. That made me wonder about the Sals and Judge. I think the Big S is on a losing streak at that Philly HS stadium in Northeast Philly. They lost to Judge there 2 years ago and they got beat by George Washington there in 2010.

Thanks for that info, dovetail. I would have checked the schedule later today....I assumed it was Friday. Hey, maybe there is a Catholic League game there on Friday night.

An under the radar game is Saturday morning's Flight B match-up of 2-0 Brandywine hosting 1-1 Glasgow. Can the Dragons get back on track or are the Bulldogs for real?

Yeah Irvington rolls over them. They have a good wide receiver and historically any receiver with a pulse has been able to murder Smyrna's defense.
