Boy oh boy...
Sallies now depends on the kindness of Dover and St. Mark's not being as good in years' past to get into the tournament.
Will Knight proved that he is one of the top talents to ever play in this state and he looks poised to carry Smyrna to a three-peat.
Raise your hand if you had Middletown and Hodgson as the last two unbeatens in Flight A heading in next weekend...Silver Eagles have to be the surprise of all of DelHS and will likely get a home game in the first round which will be to their advantage for an early Saturday start time.
CR and Penn as sleepers? Possibly. Sussex Central still has a rematch with Smyrna in my opinion. Time will tell...
Caravel's gonna be the best team on either side not in the tournament and it's a damn shame. I was impressed with their athleticism and aggression on defense and the old school, stop the run if you can mentality Friday night. Glasgow couldn't.
Howard's gonna maul Glasgow on Saturday. I'd be shocked if that game stays within three touchdowns.
Well, well, well, if it isn't the legendary Dave Hearn and his Delmar Wildcats throwing a wrench into the D2 playoff machine. I rooted for Milford because I felt they were the underdog but now I'm rooting for Delmar to beat Woodbridge Friday night and cause ALL the chaos. It'd be nice if all three of them got in because I can assure you nobody north of the Canal wants to see them.
Friends v. Tower Hill and DMA/Conrad in the battles of conferences that shouldn't have as much clout as they do. All four teams won (the three that played, anyway) their Week 9 games, so we get to see who's worthy of their high billing. Conrad actually beat DMA last year, so if it happens again....yep, more chaos.
AI should take the game against Concord. They won't, but it'd make things more interesting than they already are.
