Caravel did not play Tech or St E this year.
Caravel has had one of its quietist seasons in my opinion. They are 13-4 as well as 6-1 against this years playoff teams. Sallies is the only in state team to beat Caravel in a 6-5 game in which Sallies came from behind in the 6th inning. Caravel beat Cape, St Mks, Hodgson, Poly, Smyrna and Newark Charter. Caravel has been scoring nearly 7 runs per game on average and allowing 4 runs per game on average. At the plate, Caravel has 5 different guys hit homers this year. On the mound, they have Silan who is 4-0 and one of the better pitchers in the state. They also have numerous other guys that have thrown this year; Nelson (3-1), Croce (2-2), Keister, HOliday, Barker.
Caravel's post season success will be of no surprise to anyone. They have made the post season tourney for the 27th season. They have a record of 39-22 over those seasons. They have captured 4 titles and have been to 8 championship games. 3 of those titles were in the past 10 seasons and they have been in the championship game 6 of the past 10 seasons.
Caravel has never played Sussex Tech in the post season. They have played St E twice in the playoffs, losing both times; 4-1 in 1999 and 10-0 in 2009.
