St Georges(2015 record 13-5) #9 seed in the 2015 playoffs, but lost a close one to Appo 5-4 in the first round.
History – St Georges has been up and coming for years but has lost in the first round of the playoffs the past two seasons and are 1-4 in the playoffs in their brief school history. In nine years they have a 96-32 record and have never had less than 13 wins in a season but usually 1 game behind Hodgson. Key Losses – Shane Feehery 2nd Team All State OF, Sean McGrath Honorable Mention All State Pitcher and 5 other seniors. Key Returns – Tyler Campbell Honorable Mention All State 2B, Logan Gilbert Honorable Mention All State 3B
Schedule – One of the weaker schedules in their conference. They should benefit from only playing 4 playoff teams from last year.
Overall – Return a decent amount of players including a top pitcher in Campbell. Prediction 13-5
Hodgson (2015 record 14-4). #4 seed going into playoffs with arguably the best pitcher in the state. They blow away Mt P, then get upset by Dover in the 2nd round. History – they have qualified for the playoffs for 10 straight years while earning a record of 149-38 over that time period. But their record in the playoffs is 5-12 and have never got out of the 2nd round. Key Losses – Brandon Walter 1st Team All State Pitcher (9-1 record) and 6 other seniors including a lot of their bats. Key Returns – Starting pitcher Matt Andrus (4-1 in 2015).
Schedule - As usual they have the toughest schedule in their conference playing 7 playoff teams from last year (while St Georges only plays 4). They start the season with Appo and @St Marks.
Overall - Losing a dominant pitcher like Walter is devasting. He literally shut down everyone in more than half the games last year. Their bats were just average last year and they lost several of them. Hodgson always reloads and returns their “other” starter Andrus. They will be a playoff team but not dominant like last years. Prediction 11-7
Glasgow (2015 record 6-12). They had a tough final season in Flight A in 2015 going 6-12. Very disappointing considering having a top pitcher on the roster in Coates who started 10 games for them. They only gave up 68 runs all season, but they only scored 81 runs - which was misleading considering 45 of those runs were scored in three games. History – Glasgow had many years of losing seasons, but in 2012, 2013 & 2014 they were .500 or better. But they struggled in 2015. Key Losses – 6 seniors including top pitcher in Coates. Key Returns – They do return their other starters besides Coates.
Schedule – They have a weak schedule with only 3 games against playoff teams from last year and only 9 games against teams with .500 better record. Tough start though A.I., Wm P, DMA, Poly & St G.
Overall – Now that their in Flight B, their schedule instantly gets easier for 2016. Coates will surely be missed though. Prediction 8-10.
Dickinson (2015 record 7-11). They scooped up some wins off bad teams last year to have an okay record, but lost 3 of their last 4 games. History – from 2004-2011 Dickinson’s worst season was 13-5. But the last 4 years they haven’t been close to .500. Key Losses – Only lost 3 seniors to graduation but all three were their starting pitchers from last year and their better bats.
Schedule – They have one of the tougher schedules in flight B with 5 playoff teams and 11 teams with .500 or better records. Their first 5 games are tough and their last 8 games are really tough.
Overall – Lot of guys back but losing all your pitching will be tough unless you got some young guns in waiting. Prediction 6-12.
Brandywine (2015 record 9-9). They finished at par but none of their wins were against a team with a winning record. History – In the past 10 years Bwine has been average or not very good at all. Key Losses – They lost 6 seniors to graduation including Mako and all three starters from 2015.
Schedule – Bwine has a weaker schedule with only 4 playoff teams and 8 teams with a .500 or better record. Their first 7 games are really tough.
Overall – Losing probably their best player and ALL their starting pitching won’t bode well. Prediction 5-13.

History – 8 straight losing seasons and each year is getting worse including last years 1 win season. Key Losses – 8 seniors lost to graduation. YIKES
