How many pitches did Emir Garrett throw. He must have been extremely efficient. Every pitcher I have seen this year has not be able to complete a game with the early 85 pitch count. Garrett must be amazingly on top of his game early in the season. Good for Appo

86 pitches

Every pitcher I have seen this year has not be able to complete a game with the early 85 pitch count.
I HS pitcher completing a game with less than 85 pitches is a rarity for sure.

Most kids can manage it for 3-4 innings but it only takes 1 bad inning for it to go south. 2 walks, couple of errors, long AB with a kid fouling 5 or more pitches off and suddenly 15 becomes 30.

@amp34, how about 67 pitches for Adkins from Delmar in a complete game shutout against Smyrna, not to shabby

Very very efficient
That win surprised me a bit. With that win under their belts and looking at their upcoming schedule, its not too far fetched to consider that Delmar could possibly rip off 10 in a row before a key Henlopen South battle with Milford.

Dover, Del. (June 11, 2017) --- Delaware State Head Baseball Coach Jean-Paul “J.P.” Blandin is among the newest members of the Delaware High School Baseball Coaches Hall-of-Fame. The organization introduced its 24th hall-of-fame class prior to Sunday's Wilmington Blue Rocks contest against the Buies Creek Astros at Frawley Stadium.

In addition to Blandin, the Delaware High School Baseball Coaches Hall-of-Fame class includes former high school, Salisbury University and Delaware semi-pro standout Joe Morales, and the undefeated state champion 1976 Salesianum high school team.

The hall-of-fame was founded by the Delaware High School Baseball Coaches Association to honor coaches, managers, players, teams and other individuals (umpires, league administrators, writers, groundskeepers, etc.) who have made outstanding contributions to baseball in Delaware. The Hall was founded in 1994 and now has 127 members from all segments of the baseball community in Delaware.

The winningest coach in Delaware State University baseball history, Blandin recently completed his 17th season as head coach of the Hornets. He has guided the program to 418 wins, including 209 vs. Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference opponents.

Blandin reached the 400 career win mark at DSU with a 5-4 victory over Norfolk State on March 19 in Norfolk, Va.

The 2012 MEAC Coach-of-the-Year, Blandin has led the Hornets to six MEAC Northern Division titles and two league championship game appearances.

Prior to his coaching career, Blandin was a standout player at Wilmington (Del.) College. He helped lead the 1992 Wildcats to a fourth place finish in the 18-team NAIA World Series.
