The Vikings of Cape were led by Jai Kai Duffy's 2 yard touchdown passes of 99 and 8 yards to Joseph Kirby.

Najair Smith's 3 touchdown runs of 31, 75 and 12 yards, along with qb Dru Fry son of former University of Delaware qb Dale Fry threw 2 touchdown pass of 28 and 19 yards to Esias Guthrie and scored 1 touchdown run of 2 yards paced the Middletown Cavaliers to a 41-20 win over the Eagles of Smyrna in the Harvest Bow. Stephen Whaley scored 2 touchdown runs of 1 and 2 yards and qb Aiden Sanchez threw a 27 yard pass to Devin Smith for the other score.

qb Zack Camilli's 1 touchdown run of 72 yards and threw a 7 yard pass to Lennell Preston paced the Red Wolves of Conrad to a 22-20 win over the Christiana Vikings.

99 yard touchdown run by Javon Peace along with a 82 yard kickoff return, qb Jordan Magee's 2 touchdown runs of 75 and 28 yards paced the Dover Senators to a 42-14 win over the Auks of Archmere.

The Hillers of Tower Hill were defeated by Harford Vo Tech 22-6. Dylan Nitche score the only touchdown for the Hillers on a 4 yard run.

Javon Peace 21 carries for 241 yards scored 3 touchdowns runs of 69 yards 23 and 66 along with Jordan McGee's 2 touchdown runs of 32 and 64 yards paced the Dover Senators to a 35-21 win over the Woodbridge Raiders.

TyJhir Sheppard-Parker, Shihiem Williams, Zion Reed and Kasim Lewis each scored a rushing touchdown as the Golden Knights of Sussex Central and finished with 345 rushing yards on 43 carries as they defeated Queen Anne's of MD 31-3.

Aaron Lewis caught two touchdown passes from quarterback Keyhon Davis to lead the Highlanders to a 12-6 overtime victory over the Dragons.

Glasgow running back Naiseem Butts ran well for the Dragons and scored on a 5yd run in the 4th quarter to tie the game at 6-6.

McKean defensive end D'Angelo Reams recovered a fumble in overtime to seal the victory for McKean.

The Jaguars of Appoquimink registered their first win on Justin Henry's 2 yard run, 2 touchdown runs of 10 and 3 yards by Savion Field a 4 yard run by Elijah Pittman along with a John Ngati's 65 yard fumble return as they defeated the Cougars of Delcastle by a 35-0 score.
 
2018 Delaware High School Football Recaps for 9-15-18

QB Brian Benson's 2 touchdown passes of 36 and 23 yards Nyaire Wilson's and ran 2 touchdown runs of 23 and 5 yards paced the Hawks of St. Georges to a 31-8 win over the Riders of Caesar Rodney.

The Auks offense had 340 yards on the ground. Evan Hernick rushed 7 times for 100 yards and scored 2 TDs to pace the Auks of Archmere to a 49-0 win over the Red Wolves of Conrad. Cole Bauer rushed 7 times for 77 yards and scored twice. Devin Houston rushed for 94 yards, ran for 2 TDs and threw for another.

Mitch Moyer had 9 solo tackles, 1.5 sacks and blocked punt and a fumble recovery. Darren DiRenzo had 6 solo tackles and a fumble recovery. Brett Kwoka had 7 total tackles and a 1/2 sack.

The Hodgson Silver Eagles on 2 90 yard touchdown runs by Bobby Arnold defeated the Howard Wildcats by a 43-26 score.

Corahn Alleye carried the ball for 164 yards and scored 4 touchdowns in the ballgame along with qb Joe Deal's throwing a long touchdown pass to Dior Boys paced the Delaware Military Academy Seahawks to a 37-7 win over the Milford Bucs. These 2 teams met in the Division I DIAA semi finals where Milford prevailed.

Dover improves their record to 3-0.

The Riders of Caesar Rodney on touchdown runs by 69 yard run by Jordan Allen, 65 yard run by Emmanual Kennedy, 2 yard run Chris Evans and a 24 yard touchdown by Kendall Smith paced the Riders of Caesar Rodney to a 38-13 win over the Colonials of William Penn.

The Bulldogs were down 20-8 at halftime. A 33 point second half comeback was lead off by a 43 yd int return for a TD by Andre Mottas on the first play of the second half. Bulldogs Quaterback Rah'Meir Marks finished the game with three passing touchdowns and 1 rushing and won 41-20.

The Blue Jays of Seaford after 2 losses registered their first win on Saturday as qb Adrian Watts threw for 2 pairs of touchdowns and scored 1 td to pace the Seaford Blue Jays to a 46-28 win over the St. Andrews Cardinals.

Mitch Moyer had 6 solo tackles and 2.5 sacks. Brett Kwoka had 9 tackles, 2 sacks and a blocked punt. Kevin DiGregorio had 9 solo tackles and a half sack.
Cole Bauer rushed for 56 yards on 6 carries and had 51 yards receiving. Darren DiRenzo rushed for 53 yards on 9 carries. Devin Houston had 55 yards rushing on 7 carries and threw for 97 yards and 2 TDs. to pace the Auks of Archmere 35-0 win over Tatnall

2 touchdown runs by Thomas Mosley of 3 and 1 yards each, qb 3 touchdown passes by qb Maxwell Jones with 2 passes of to Maxwell Jones of 12 and 83 yards to yard Jamir Dantley paced the Tigers of Alexis I DuPont to a 40-16 win over the Lake Forest Spartans.

Treyvon McCray's 28 yard touchdown run in overtime paced the First State Military Academy Bulldogs to a 29-28 win over the 1-2 Red Wolves of Conrad in overtime.

Wilmington Friends field goal kicker Jake Jaworski kicked a 28 yard field goal with 23 seconds left in the ball game defeated the Blue Raiders of Woodbridge by a 24-23 win.

The Delmar Wildcats improve their record to 3-0 on the season on 2 qb passes by George Angelo and 2 running touchdown by Te Shawn Dennard as they defeated the Vikings of St. Elizabeth 48-0.

Corahn Alleyne 14 carries, 165 yards scored 3 TD of 1, 12 and 35. Joseph Deal: 7 for 9, 117, 3 TD passes of 38 and 39 to Dior Boyd and 1 of 11 yards to Charlie Hudson paced the Seahawks of Delaware Military Academy to a 53-0 win over Red Lion Christian. Dior Boyd for Delaware Military Academy contributed with 3 receptions 82 yards, 2 TD.

The Milford Buccaneers on touchdowns by Tayone Matthews 7 yard run Jabriah Lake 29 yard run Tyrone Miffin's 35 yard interception Caleb Watson's 3 yard run and Rodney Robinson 6 yard run defeated Polytech 37-0.

Michael Norseworthy's 2 touchdowns runs of 69 and 5 yards and qb Chase Snyder threw a pair of touchdowns to pace Sussex Tech to a 47-6 win over the Green Knights of Mt. Pleasant. Kevin Custis contributed for Sussex Tech with a 52 yard run.

I just got a subscription to the NJ right before the season started just for the Sunday paper for Sat HS football scores/stats! The paper came yesterday and there was NO mention of HS football.........smh
 
Delaware High School Football Wrap for 9-28-18

The Eagles of Smyrna after an 0-2 start earned their first win of the season on Aiden Sanchez's 4 touchdown passes of 2 to Stephen Whaley for 18 and 51 yards, 1 of 80 yards to Emon Roberts and 7 yards to Ron Jackson as they defeated the Cape Henlopen Vikings 53-0. Stephen Whaley scored on 2 touchdowns runs of 52 yard and 17 yards

Joshua Wood's fumble recovery in the end zone, Anthony Rivera 60 yard interception along with td runs by Jordan Love, Manny Allen, Manny Kennedy, Christopher Evans, Kendall Smith paced the Riders of Caesar Rodney to a 53-14 win over the Panthers of Polytech.

Vince Tascione had 21 completions out of 43 attempts for 235 yards for the Panthers of Polytech and threw touchdown passes to Donald Rawley and Trent Jakich.

1 touchdown run each by Shiheim Williams 6 yard touchdown run, Isaac Barnes 7 yard TD run Kasim Lewis 64 yard run paced the Golden Knights to a 21-0 win over the Dover Senators.

2 rushing touchdowns each by AJ Angello and Ni Juier Gaines paced the Delmar Wildcats to a 56-0 win over Indian River.

Mitch Moyer rushed 6 times for 80 yards and 2 TDs and Darren DiRenzo ran 7 times for 53 yards and had 3 TDs. Devon Houston threw for 107 yards and a TD to pace the Auks of Archmere to a 34-28 overtime win over the Spartans of St. Marks.

The Auks defense forced 4 turnovers and blocked a punt. Brady Dalton had 8 solo tackles and an INT.

The Appoquinimink Jaguars came back from a 15-6 halftime deficit as Appo qb Ryan Von Brandt threw 2 key passes of 33 yards with the PAT good and 39 yards to wide receiver Kamal Yellowdy as they defeated the Ravens of Sussex Tech by a 19-15 score.

The Vikings of St. Elizabeth on Cameron Tjaden's 6 yard run, Luke Schiavoni's 21 yard interception along with a Ray Jones 75 yard run defeated the Seahawks of Delaware Military Academy by a 20-7 score.

2 Dylan Nitsche touchdown passes of 32 yards to Michael Gilbert and 19 yards to Ty Gates paced the Hillers of Tower Hill to a 36-0 win over Tatnall. Isaiah Brown contributed with 2 touchdown runs of 45 and 30 for the Hillers.

Naizhier Bank's 3 touchdown runs of (2 for 6) and another one for 17 yards paced the William Penn 39 Newark 20 Dominique Boyd scored 2 touchdowns 1 runs of 25 yards and 1 by a pass reception from QB Anthony for 42 yards.

Peter Gosser's 19 yard run scored first to give the Force of Charter a 7-0 lead but the HIghlanders of McKean on Aaron Lewis's 75 yard touchdown run came within 1 at 7-6 after a PAT attempt failed. Keyhon Davis scored the winning TD for the Highlanders as they won 12-7.

Tyhair Hartley of 58 yards to put Howard up 8-0. The Bulldogs struck back for their only score of the game as qb Rah'Meir Marks threw a 67 yarder to wide receiver Andre Mottas. Karvin Reeves blocked punt return for a score put Howard up 14-7. 2 more touchdown runs by Tyhair Hartley of 1 and 4 yards paced the Wildcats of Howard to a 28-7 win over the Brandywine Bulldogs.

Zakk Camilli's 70 yard pass reception to wide receiver JaTeir Berkley Osborne with the PAT kick good paced the Conrad Red Wolves to a 7-0 win over the Lions of Red Lion Christian.

Silver Eagle qb CJ Henry's 2 touchdown passes of 12 yards to Kam'Ryn Thomas and 50 yards to Bobby Arnold paced Hodgson to a 54-0 win over the Concord Raiders. Bobby Arnold contributed on a 29 yard touchdown run.

Micah Turpin rushed for over 300 yards and scored 5 touchdown runs 24, 64, 15, 38 and 17 yards paced the Cardinals of St. Andrews to a 49-8 win over George School of PA.
 
Friday, 10-12 19 Wrap

Stephen Whaley's 19 carries for 196 yards scored 4 touchdowns to pace the Eagles of Smyrna to a 50-14 win over the Riders of Caesar Rodney. QB Aiden Sanchez threw a pair of touchdown passes of 45 yards to Makhi Jackson and 11 yards to Emon Roberts for the Eagles.

Vonnie Peace's 14 carries for 196 yards scored 4 touchdowns for the Dover Senators as they defeated the St.Georges Hawks by a 62-14 score.

Jr. Kasim Lewis scored 2 touchdown runs of 25 and 7 yards and qb Isaac Barnes had 10 completions out of 16 yards for 202 yards paced the Sussex Central Golden Knights to a 25-0 win over the Ravens of Sussex Tech.

Micah Turpin's 2 touchdown runs of 10 and 41 along with a pass reception from qb Adrian Watts of 43 yards, qb Adrian Watts kickoff return of 71 yards along with a 18 yard pass from Theodore Jaffe paced the Cardinals of St. Andrews to a 32-7 win over the Bulldogs of First State Military Academy.

Ray Jones 2 touchdown runs of 42 and 4 yards , Noah Ogbin 4 yard touchdown run along with a 9 yard pass to Luke Schiavoni, Dashaun Brooks 2 yard run, Kendrick Segars fumble recovery, Brian Millard's 33 yard field goal paced the Vikings of St. Elizabeth to a 45-6 win over the Glasgow Dragons.

Dylan Nitsche 5 yard touchdown run along with a 44 yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Julian Jackson paced the Hillers of Tower Hill to a 37-6 win over the Lions of Red Lion Christian Academy. Other Hiller contributors Isaiah Brown scored on a 62 yard run and threw a 27 yard pass to Michael Gilbert and Emmett Simpler scored on a 1 yard run.

L J Phillips 7 yard run with the extra point good paced the Hornets of Tatnall to a 7-0 win over Conrad.

Cole Bauer ran 15 times for 111 yards and scored twice. Darren DiRenzo ran for 59 yards and had 2 TDs. Devin Houston ran for 59 yards and a TD and threw for 102 yards and a TD to pace the Auks of Archmere to a 41-20 win over the Bucs of Caravel.

Mitch Moyer and Darren DiRenzo recorded sacks for the Auks. Jack Pawloski had a key interception for the defense. Kevin DiGregorio had 9 tackles and Sanjay Long had 6 solo tackles.

The Ravens of Sussex Tech snapped a 3 game losing streak on Mike Norsworthy's rushing leader as he carried the ball 21 times for 160 yards, KJ Custis 69 yard touchdown run as he carried the ball 6 times for 104 yards Conor Ellingsworth 30 yard td, qb Chase Snyder's 40 yard pass to Grant Lamars and Jalen Snead 9 carries for 74 yards scored on a 16 yard run defeated the Riders of Caesar Rodney 41-6.

The Milford Bucs improve their record at 4-3 on touchdown runs of 25 yards by Kadin Bates, 95 yards by Rahshawn Price, Rodney Price 2 yarder and 48 yards by Jabriah Luke defeated the Vikings of Cape Henlopen 38-0.

The Appoquinimink Jaguars on Savion Field's 2 touchdown runs of 45 and 35 yards qb Antonio Alvares 29 yard pass to Marquis Battle, 1 touchdown run each by Jordan Henry of 20 yards and Justin Henry of 15 yards defeated the Yellowjackets of Newark by a 36-0 score.

Keyhon Davis ran for over a 100 yards and 3 touchdowns against Conrad on Friday night to lead the Highlanders to a 42-14 victory over the Redwolves on Homecoming night. Ryheem Reeder added to the Highlanders rushing totals and scored on a 27 yard run in the third quarter.

Aaron Lewis scored a defensive touchdown for the Highlanders on the very first play of the game with a 30 yard fumble recovery. He also caught a 50 yard touchdown pass from Tahzir Emmen-Grant.

The Highlanders are now 5-2 on the season, and head to AI Dupont next Friday night at 6pm.

The Auks defense had their third consecutive shutout and their fifth on the year.

Thomas Mosley's 56 yard run along with 3 Chad Jones touchdown passes of 59 yards to LeRoy Lynch and 1 to Jamir Dantley for 28 yards who also scored on a 75 yard punt return paced the Tigers of AI DuPont to a 48-12 win over the Bulldogs of Brandywine.

In the oldest high school rivalry in New Castle County the Quakers of Friends trailed 3-0 at the half and in the second half came back on Jacob Jaworski's 32 yard field goal and took the lead on qb Peyton McNeill's 35 yard pass to William Davis as they defeated the Hillers of Tower Hill 10-3.

The Brandywine Bulldogs came back from a 7-0 deficit as they scored 1 touchdown in each quarter as qb Rah Meer Marks threw a 46 yard pass to Andre Mottas to go within 7-6 and went ahead for the go ahead score as Rah Meir Marks threw to Zion Carr as they defeated Brandywine School District rival Mt. Pleasant Green Knights by a 14-7 score.

Corahn Alleyne had 15 carries for 201 yards and scored 4 touchdown runs of 20 45 8 and 11, qb Joe Deal was 6-7 passing for 122 yard and 2 TDs and teammate Andrew Hudson had one TD and an INT paced the Seahawks of Delaware Military Academy to a 42-13 win over the Conrad Red Wolves.

2018 DIAA Semi Final Football Games Division II: Friends School came back from a 6-0 deficit at the half after Hillers running back Isaiah Brown scored on a 4 yard run, came back in the third quarter on a Peyton McNeill 2 yard run and in the 4th quarter on a 1 yard run by Wyatt Nelson as they defeated the Hillers of Tower Hill by a 14-6 score. This is Friends 3rd time in the finals since 2016 as they are 1-2, their last state final championship was in 1984 at William Penn High School where they defeated Claymont 24-6.

Division II Semi Final Round of the DIAA Tournament: Woodbridge qb Jamon Kane's 6 yard td run, Richard Massey's 52 yard run, Troy Haines 2 touchdown passes to Gabe Wescott paced the Blue Raiders to a 41-14 win over the Wildcats of Delmar. For the first time since 2016 the Blue Raiders will play the Quakers of Wilmington Friends at University of Delaware Stadium.

In a DIAA Semi Final Division I contest the Golden Knights of Sussex Central behind Isaac Smith's 11 yard pass to Domonique Smith for the winning score defeated the Dover Senators by a 21-20 win over the Senators of Dover and for the first time since 2008 made the championship round their fourth final appearance in school history. The Sals of Salesianum upset the Silver Eagles of Hodgson 20-18.

Here is the actual details that I am going to provide for you. The Knights made their first Division I appearance in 2000 where they to a dominant Newark team 29-13. In 2006, they fell to the Sals of Salesianum 34-17, todays game was the second time that Sals and Sussex Central met in 2018 DI final. 2007 they lost to Middletown by a 26-22 score and in 2008 they were defeated by Caesar Rodney 26-13 after the Knights defeated the Riders during the regular football season and coached by former University of Delaware Blue Hen Mike Schoenwolf.
 
For the first time in the history of the Golden Knights football team after going 0 for 4 behind Isaac Barnes 127 yards passing and twin brother Isaiah Barnes 5 catches for 112 yards and 1 touchdown paced Sussex Central to their first DIAA Division I Football Champion by defeating the Sals of Salesianum by a 33-7 score. These 2 schools met in the DIAA Final in 2006 where the Sals won by a 34-17 score.

For the Division II Football title the Blue Raiders of Woodbridge High School won their second Division II Football title behind performances of interceptions each by Gabe Wescott and Tahjon Hammond for over 70 yards, T Hammond who also scored a touchdown on offense, Richard Massey's 16 carries for 118 yards scored on a 51 yard touchdown run they defeated the Quakers of Friends by a 33-9 score.
