William Penn 3 Delmar 2
Madelyn Pritchard picked up the win for William Penn, going 7 innings, allowing 2 runs (1 earned) on 2 hits while walking 2 and striking out 11. Cadence James went 3 and 2/3 innings allowing 3 unearned runs on 2 hits and Marlee somers was solid in relief going 2 and 1/3 allowing 2 hits.

A walk, error, and a hit by pitch led to bases loaded with two outs in the bottom of the fourth with two outs for the Colonials. Rachel Haight singled to score one run. Madison Perry was hit by a pitch to bring in another run, and Madelyn Pritchard followed with an RBI single to make it 3-0.
In the sixth, a walk and error gave the Wildcats two on with one out when Camryn Wingate drove the ball over the left fielder's head for a 2 run double. Pritchard was able to get out of trouble by inducing a ground out and getting a strike out to end the inning.

Brandywine 8 Ursuline 7
The Bulldogs outlasted the Raiders in a heated contest. Megan Leary pitched a complete game striking out 8 Raiders. Two hits apiece by Chakar, Hadley, Leary, Stroh, and Theckston balanced the Bulldog's hitting attack. The 6th inning comeback was started with a pinch-hit by Arnone. Hadley led off the top of the 7th with a leadoff double and eventual game-winning run.
Back and forth game. The Raiders were led by Bailey Maloney who added another 11 strikeouts to her total this season. Maggie Lober and Audrey Pachuta had 3 hits each and Ava Panunto added 3 hits and 3 RBIs for the Raiders. Anna Harris and Bridget Simpson added 2 hits each.

Newark 34 ECHS at Delaware State 33
ECHS and Newark played under the lights for 4 hours and 20mins at Delaware State Softball Complex on ECHS Senior Night Game. Both teams gave their all especially ECHS pitcher Alexus Nelson and Newark Ajah Watson both going the distance and each throwing over 200 pitches. Alexus struck out 8 Yellowjackets, while walking 28 and hitting 12 batters. Ajah struck out 9 Hornets and yielded 25 walks in picking up the complete game win.

The game came down to the last inning and the last batter before the Yellowjackets celebrated the win as pitcher Ajah Watson threw to Dominique Lum to seal the 34-33 win. ECHS had the tying run at second base when the last out was recorded.

Camille Watson scored six times and was 2 for 4 at the plate collecting two of the teams four hits. Brooke Wilfong and NhiNhi Nguyen picked up the other two hits for the Yellowjackets. Ajah Watson scored the most times in the game by either team with seven runs scored. Rubi Marcano, Brooke Wilfong, and Dominique Lum each scored four times.

ECHS Sydney Johnes had the biggest offensive day for both teams collecting two triples and an inside the park home run. She scored six times and drove in four runs. Alexus Nelson had two hits and scored five times.

Padua 12 Milford 7
The Padua offense was firing on all cylinders as they scored 5 runs in the 1st and 2nd innings followed by a run in the 4th and 6th innings to get the win against Milford.
Muliple hits from Payton Pickard, Cate Shrader and Lauren Schurman led the way for the Pandas along with 3 RBI's from Colleen Minemier.
The Buccaneers scattered seven hits on the day by, Adrionna Fountain, Ciera Stevens-Brittingham, Rayla Burris, Ashley Bullock, Lillie Harrison, Lauren Dickerson and Khyliah Reynolds.

Appoquinimink 13 Concord 0 Savannah Laird pitched a no hitter while striking out 10 to lead Appoquinimink to the win. The Jaguars belted out 17 hits on the day. Olivia Marinucci had 3 hits including 2 triples and 2 RBI's. While Lily Papellas also had 3 hits and 2 RBIs. Appoquinimink also got multiple hit games from Alexia Fitzgerald, Julia Weglarz, Sky Eleazar and Hailey Watlington. Watlington also contributed 3 RBI's.

Red Lion 6 Conrad 4 Conrad scored three in the top of the first with an RBI single by A. Pesce followed by A. Baldwin’s 2 run homerun. Red Lion answered with one run in the bottom of first with an RBI single by A Edwards scoring P Pusey. The score remained the same until the bottom of the 6th when A. Griffing hit a grand slam for the Lions. Pusey and Edwards had a multiple hit day for the Lions and E. Baldwin had a multiple hit day for Conrad. Pitching and defense was solid on both sides.



























This was Newark first win on the season and both teams will take on each other again at Newark High School on Newark's Senior Night on Friday May 13th.
