PISCATAWAY, N.J. --- The Delaware State University women's basketball team fell to the Rutgers Scarlet Knights 74-36 at the Jersey Mike's Arena on Sunday.

Freshman guard Sianny Sanchez-Oliver led the way with eight points, including tying a team-best four free throws. She also hauled in three rebounds and recorded a pair of assists and steals in the loss.

Alexis Moragne, Unique Miller and Correyain Wright all chipped in with six points each. Moragne handed out two assists, while Miller grabbed three rebounds and Wright notched a steal and a rebound.

Delaware State gained the presence of redshirt-senior guard Janasia Law, who made her season debut off the bench. Law who returned from injury, scored three points, tallied two assists and two rebounds in 25 minutes of action.

The Hornets will return to play on Saturday on the road against the Mountain Hawks of Lehigh University. Tipoff from Stabler Arena is currently scheduled for 2 p.m.
