Would love to see Novarnick wrestle Lugo, or Immediato. Novarnick lost to Massey 4-2 and looked solid against him.

At 106, the top 3 have beaten each other. Hayes just beat Harrington 3-0 @ Battle at the Beach. Baum beat Hayes in the Milford Invitational. Harrington Majored Baum at Milford. Baum vs Hayes most likely will happen this weekend in Smyrna.

At 195 Chase Humphries from Sanford majored Oliver from Charter. He also went 3-0 this weekend at VA duels. Muaka from charter does not deserve to be in these rankings because he has beaten nobody good yet. Also Kyle Cathers isnt ranked higher after going to
The quarters at Beast? Thats messed up. And The 60 pounder from Conrad beat Collins of archmere numerous times this season so why isn't he in consideration?

@ de 123.....

As you can see these are the opinions of 3 people that took there time to do the rankings.
The kids love seeing there names on these rankings but they are still just opinions. You have some valid points and some not so valid points in my opinion. My guess would be when someone takes there time to post rankings again they will take your info into consideration. Just maybe not as soon as you would like!

I am sure there will be some I miss from eagle classic that could change rankings a little. But couple things I saw from Smyrna website.
Hayes over Baum at 106
Kerr over bruce at 132

106, or whatever the lightest weight class it has been, is deeper this year than its been in decades. Hayes is probably the wrestler to beat. If u were at the Milford inv then u know he was up by 6 or 7 when he got caught and pinned. But that's why u wrestle the whole match. States should b great this year, so many weights have the top guys knocking each other off, which means it's all up for grabs. The Sallies heavyweight has been real interesting, u can tell he is new to the sport, but if he doesn't make rookie errors he may b capable of beating anyone. He's lost quit a few he was winning at the time he got pinned. 250 lbs is hard to get off your chest when u r on your back. I'm definately looking forward to the 2nd half of the season with so many weight classes up for grabs. Just gonna come down to who wants it more and who put in the most work.

195
1. Marquelle Bennett (smy)
2. Ken vanvorst (mil)
3. Jon'Del Dyer (Dover)
4. Tim Dixon (lf)
5. Nazr Robeson (new)
6. Matt Oliver

Good to see Kerr on the list at 132. He beat both Bruce and Perry last weekend. But I also don't believe in being overly reactionary when making adjustments based on only one result as opposed to a body of work. So just being on the list is a good first step for a freshman. 106, 120, and 220 are especially stout this year.

Without naming kids specifically, let me say some general things about rankings. Rankings are a subjective prediction of how kids would place in state tournament if held on the date of ranking. An accurate prediction takes into account, head to head results, overall quality of a wrestler (based on history, program, competition, health/injury, and other factors), common opponents, rankings of wrestlers that a kid loses to, and a few other parameters. If a kid only loses to another by one point, it would be a mistake to automatically place that kid right under the winner. Kids performances fluctuate up and down all season. There should not be an automatic reshuffling of rankings based on a single result or two. It's not a top score on some video game mentality. You can't use the A beat B by 8 and B lost to C by 2 so A would probably beat C by 3 business either. As the saying goes, the opponent often "makes the fight" based on style, situation, needs of team, health and other factors. If a kid jumps up and bites one of the top dogs on a given night, but loses to several weaker opponents as well, should the upset weigh so much more than the overall pattern of wins and losses? IF the upset is followed by a string of good wins over quality opponents, then it might indicate working hard, taking wrestling more seriously, just getting better, etc that would warrant a higher ranking on the next cycle. I know that kids (and some parents) put a lot of stock on these rankings but please keep them in perspective. There are very few wrestlers that will escape the upset bug this year but over the course of the entire season, the better wrestlers will rise to the top. Focus more on your mat presence and not your cyber presence.

Hey Jon'del.....yeah I'll call you out now. How are you ranked ahead on a kid who beat you 6-3 and ahead of a kid who then beat him 6-3?

My nephew learned the hard way but let your results speak for themself. All that matters is state results.

@MY

I heard a coach got kicked out of the Canal Classic this past weekend...any news?

just wondering

? No idea. Wasn't driving up that far with snow forecasted. . Saw a little of caravel, dma, poly and lake quad.

What? are you serious dude? My name is Jacob Leager you can search me up where ever you want & what makes you think I'm a high schooler? Because of my "prediction" I put my own opinion in this and I put Dyer 3rd because he just bumped up from 182 and isn't use to the 195 weight class yet but now if you actually go and watch he's starting to get the hang of it so stop being a dick torwads my own prediction thinking I'm a kid, KID!

Ha you crack me up joker you just don't want to feel dumb for calling someone out that's not even him like I said your can search my name anywhere I got nothing to lie about.

So since the Nside rankings are in dispute we can go to the Nside Facebook page and see Jacob Real's comments there as well? Proof enough for me. C'mon myrealname get off this guy's case.

These young boys don't get it. Work hard, win matches and you will get noticed. Putting your own name out there just makes you look bad. Google me! Lmao at all this.

Real - I love that you "Lmao" at this since you started it all. I've never posted on a board before, but I used to really like reading this one for the wrestling chatter. Now anytime someone makes a comment it's you or one of your pals, ripping them down a calling them out by name. All while hiding behind your own screen name. Who cares if a kid wants to promote himself. Who's the child here? There used to be tons of wrestling talk on here, now there's none, just a comment and then a long string of insults. Good job, you single handedly took down this board. Who wants to post anything if they will just be insulted. I don't know who monitors this board, but it's not what it used to be, and you don't have to look far to understand why. Feel free to rip me now, but don't expect an answer because I won't feed into your BS. Oh, and the kid from Dover is having a great year. Keep up the good work stay disciplined and it will all pay off. Don't end up like these clowns sitting in front of a computer ripping hard working kids with a mustard stain on your shirt in your mother's basement. I'm out!

Never once have I ripped a kid. Just dont like when kids promote themselves. The rankers dont just pull names out of a hat they look at what i would guess is a lot of results. The kid from dover is having a great year, just wish he would wrestle and not worry about a ranking. Now I am gonna go try to get this damn mustard stain out. Mom bought me a magic eraser so i am going to try that. Wish me luck!
