SC-Sals

Wells has to reassess his defense philosophy in the offseason. This is not the same gritty defense scheme which made Sussex Central contenders. Wells coasted by this year with a lack luster south conference.
The rematch of the year would have been Saliesanium versus Appoquinimink. The Appoquinimink Defense is the only team in Delaware to suffocate the Saliesanium Offense to 2 offensive scores. A big shout out to Coach Delle Donne, Coach Worrilow, and Saliesanium to be the first back-to-back champions in Division 3.
I guess the Middletown/ St.George’s game should just be canceled since the mighty Sals have already been anointed State Champs

Uncle Bum; I'd like to go back and read your prediction posts about the Sals that you made in pre-season. You are right about the penalties. They do seem to be the best way that opposing teams get to move the ball downfield.

I hope you are right. Wells does have a knack for getting the most of the talent he has. Not always the biggest teams but they play with passion. If you ever talk to Coach Wells and his staff you would understand.
Sounds like the weather might be a little nasty. That might be beneficial to the old Wing T.

“Yes they played a little over a month ago and Appo stopped Central on a goaline stance as time expired for the win. Appo players exited out of the main entrance doing a lot of talking. Their cheerleaders were very loudly chanting “Appo” from the buses. They definitely enjoyed the moment on Central’s field…….Last night after the game the players found the back gate. Cheerleaders were quiet as well. All was well in Sussex County.”

OK, proud. I think SC comes North and shocks the Sals in 3 days. That doesn’t have anything to do with cheerleaders. It’s about Coach Wells and how he uses his talent. The Sals are averaging over 100 yards of penalties. According to an old friend, this is the most undisciplined Sals FB team of all time.
The Henlopen North (home of the CR soccer state champions) is the real deal.

Enough.
