8th Graders

I think he walked off the mat and went on about his day. He is a kid who does not show much emotion. He wrestles and goes home. I would not say it was disrespectful what he did.
At the minimum, you acknowledge your coaches at the end of your match. And to walk past the people, that supported you, like you don't know them? It kinda is disrespectful.

8th Graders

He walked past his tower hill coaches like he didn't know them and shook his Kingsway coaches hands and hugged and celebrate with them. You couldn't miss it. He ghosted his tower hill coaches in front of the entire gym.

Did we watch the same match? Unless it happened afterwards. From what I remember he shook Bakhsh’s hand and then shook the coaches hands and didn’t really celebrate much.

8th Graders

It was more to deter people from using the school for one year. The DIAA didn’t put much thought into that one right. So now they just transfer to those schools as 7th graders. There’s so much to be said tor that extra year! The results of those kids doesn’t lie.
Well it seems to be doing more good than bad anyway so let them wrestle. How many kids actually transferred their 7th grade year just curious.

That 7th grade rule was never going to force kids to stay at the school they went to for middle school into high school.

...and speaking of 8th graders that transfered, i guess in the 120lb final it was three "potenitaly dangerous" mule kicks to the head,
one for each of the THREE losses in the finals. start the flo video at 8:57.

Lucian two tragic wrestling circumstances and losses: ZERO mule kicks
I mean they said the official for that match is one of the best in the state and he was closer than any of us right? Kicks appeared to be to the grip but I wasn’t that close.

The rule is you must be in attendance for the entire 7th grade year to be eligible for HS sports during your 8th grade year. If not, you can still participate as an 8th grader but you lose your senior year. That's how the DIAA book reads, no gray area on that.

Took note when watching the finals that 8 of the finalists (I think that’s right but apologies if off) wrestled as 8th graders in HS and only one I believe (Radecki) is at the same school they wrestled at as 8th graders. Doesn’t seem that rule requiring they attend as a 7th graders is doing what it was supposed to do.
What a joke. So Radecki is the only one still at the same school...for school? Isn't he going to DUKE? Ha!
