RL's kicker/punter (1st team all district) is hurt. They left a lot of points on the field not being able to place kick (3 fgs and 3 extra points), not to mention the two blocked punts on the stand-in punter (the QB) that turned into 2 St Mark's TD's. The kicker's absence really hurt RL.
Smyrna has the most personal fouls by any team in the state. In multiple games this year and recent years, players and coaches have received multiple personal fouls in one game. This is a programmatic issue and it starts at the top with this school. Two coaches had to be physically restrained from charging at a minor. Ryan and Mike must be relieved of all extra curricular activities for their actions. This is Mike’s second after the game incident that is damaging to Smyrna’s athletic program.
After the first Middletown win it was an incident involving a Smyrna coach and a Middletown player. Hence the reason Smyrna left without shaking hands(it’s documented) , After being taken begind the wood shed by your rival in a playoff game, the team that’s said to be classless, stood in front off their rival and gave them their just due and respect in defeat.
