3A Championship.. Sals vs MT

Found it comical that Sallies loses in football and the New Journal barely does a write up on Middletown being the state champs of the top division, yet Caravel wins the 2nd division and it is front page. (I know no one pays attention to NJ) Also, very small write up on CR being champs in soccer over the 13 time champs Sallies. The bias of the media in Delaware for Sallies contributes to the growing hatred toward Sallies. Well done and deserved by Middletown

OK, let me get my two cents in. I'm an alum and not one of those who highly unlike this team. They have come a long way from the days of "The Slowsky's" as some have put it and I like it. If last night proved anything it is that you must keep playing . MT did just that and got a well deserved, thrilling win. Finally, wouldn't it be nice if the Tourney organizers presented a ceremonial trophy with the winners name engraved on it that could be passed on to other winners in the future, a high school version of the Stanley Cup. It would be a lot nicer than a cheap walnut plaque and would save some trees.
You're not shy dove so tell me what year you graduated. I was able to see the Sals in person 4 times this year and like another 6 times via the streaming experience. Maybe I just hear it from a bunch of old cranks but a team with so many unsportsmanlike flags is disliked by many active Sals alums. You know the gold card guys that go to alumni meetings. Now, these guys really like the coach, but they believe there are 4-5 players who are off the chain and would have been taken off the team in prior errors.

Now, this isn't a blanket indictment. Last year, the Sals sent 1 jock to the Air Force Academy, 1 to the Military Academy Prep (he's doing solid) and one kid to Dartmouth. Therefore, it's a few kids that many believe are acting way below the standards of their era. Once again, if you watch the games, you can't miss it.

Dove, maybe I am just listening to the wrong folks.

Bummy is maxed on this topic. As has been said before, for every Salesianum action brings an overreaction.

Congratulations to the Cavs for coming up big when it counted.
