Any observations on Tuesday’s games?

I realize that ( and know the games @ MHS were indeed not played) … was wondering about those that may have been played

Was at SG they played a 30 minute clock during their games
Watched Appo vs SG (No Rogers or vonbrant - the linebacker, both were present; just not playing) they started with the other qb and he made some impressive throws. then put drummond in and he moved the field with ease while he was in.
Didnt watch Lake/Odessa but watched Odessa/SG
game went to OT, both teams just throwing the ball down field touchdown after touchdown. Im excited to see the QB play for odessa, seems better already with the curan kid.
Overall -
Appo offensively was the best team with out their top receiver, both QBs looked good, Drummond is by far the starter. Defensively they struggled a bit SG qb play bailed them out.
Odessa has some athletes and will be much better in d2 without having to play MT and Appo weeks 1&2 and come out banged up or heads low. (Ill be following alot of them this year, i enjoyed watching their coach get fired up last year during my nephews sr year lol)
SG will be a wild card this season in my opinion, can be good, can be bad. It's a wilson coached team so they'll probably be good. They will compete because im sure they have a big ol like usual and solid athletes
Lake- the offense they run puts me to sleep and dont know y they play 7v7.

Nice analysis @Dback2500. I wasn’t there but from what you said and from words of other mouths it seems to be the consensus. Odessa will be much improved. Curran is already (imo) the better QB Odessa has had since their varsity life started. Appo will be a real threat to anyone with title hopes with Drummond, Roger’s, and both Von Brandts. I personally like Montebell. Solid receiver that can move the chains for the Jags. St. George’s, since Wilson has taken the reigns the lines have been built to just maul over the opposition. Lake has never really been a good 7on7 team because of the offense they generally run. I think it’s more so for the camaraderie of the players and getting on the same page. I’m already excited for the season and ready to watch some good football. I might go bold and say I don’t think there is a CLEAR favorite in any class this season.
