Live auctions, silent auctions, live music, pulled pork, and BBQ pork.
$30 at the door. All proceeds go to the Middletown Football team.

Meant no disrespect... only that those teams don't generally throw much so watching them in a 7v7 environment wouldn't tell much . Best of luck to all participating teams
Don't know.. I know the new QB at CA has been working with Coach Marks and reports are he is coming along nicely.. @ HS here is one to watch kid shot up and filled out.6'4 200ish played mostly JV last year

RR - he looks great.Tall, gets separation, route running looks good. From those videos he's got hands too, but they are highlight films, we'll see how he does during game action but yes, someone to keep an eye out for
They could have edited that one play where he was tackled late and got up and pushed the guy a little bit better to not show that. Not really a good look on a highlight film imo.

I don't know if any Eagles of note missed the trip. Caravel ran better routes and threw ball better. Because real football is quite different than 7v7, I'm not ready to panic. But a lot of work needs to be done, and thank goodness for the Earthquake (or Volcano, Landslide, or Typhoon...whatever Marks comes up with next)!
Oh I agree. No panic here. I just would think that with great this QB transfer was talked up last season, and with the athletes that Smyrna has on offense they wouldn't be losing the way that they are. Both losses have been by double digits. I thought Smyrnas offense. Besides the earthquake formation is set up perfect for this type of play.
This is 7on7 however, like we've all been saying, the true contenders and pretenders will show come September. Smyrna is still my number one team until they are beaten. And even if they somehow are, they could very well remain there depending on their showing come this season.

The QB transfer has a solid skill set but not "great" he still has things to learn. He wasn't asked to do much at Glasgow and I don't believe he ever had a great game throwing the ball especially last year between the easy games and injury.
I hear ya voice. "Great" may have been the wrong term, but I remember several who Claimed that Smyrna offense wasn't going to miss a beat with this kid......I said there would be growing pains. And no offense to him, I'm sure he's a great athlete and student and kid, but he didn't impress me against Dover or Middletown. I haven't seen him since but other than caravel they seem to be rolling. So what do I know? Lol
No that was Wyatt Nelson he transferred to Friends.. The new QB is Soph Jakob Hoffman he has been converted to QB he was a LB/WR on the middle school team and as a freshman last year.. Shouldn't be to tough a switch for him.. He has been around football all his life(also a good baseball player) His Dad used to coach at Red Lion with Marks when he was there so he has a clue with whats going on
I see! With Nelson transferring, does that help friends out? Are they a contender to get back to the championship? No one expected them to reach it last year, I would think after the loss, they come back hungrier even more.
They can only play the 10 games. Sometimes it works out where you can play someone else if a team doesn't post but being MHS and CA host sites they wouldn't be at the same venue for that to happen. All of Sallies games were scheduled at AI
I was just speaking as it pertained to the rules for this league DIAA agreed to.. Of course teams can go to the camps and 7v7 stuff at the colleges
Don't know if they were missing people but heard Howard, Hodgson, Dover, Concord, Mount and McKean had pretty rough days. A couple of them with either 0 or 1 wins on the day. Sallies and Delmar both undefeated going into the finals.
Those teams mentioned are expected to have a rough day during a 7on7. 75-98% of their play books are power running and options. With the exception of Dover, who should be conditioned enough after being in on NCC 7on7 to compete.
Sallies is really intriguing me this off season. Running the table so far in both of the tournaments. Does this mean Dinardo is going to get with the times and start throwing the ball more? He knows already he's gonna have to put over 40 points to beat either Smyrna or Middletown.
HS I would agree with but only Concord is a power run team and they were over 500 last season in 7v7 along with Hodgson. All besides Concord implore 3+ WR in there primary offense.
