Alignment champion question

Is the 1A group going to be eligible for a "Championship"? Seems like given the group they should just be trying to earn their way to 2A like Euro Soccer. If we had 40 teams at each class that would be one thing but as it stands somebody is going to win a trophy for being not so good.

At least before the d2 champion was still one of the best teams in the state. I don't think you can say that based on the teams in class 1 regardless of who wins it.

1A will have their own champion. 6 teams will qualify for the playoff in 1A

I don't see a problem with a team winning a championship for 1A asit will almost guarantee that they move up to 2A at the next realignment if DIAA actually sticks to their proposal.

How can any team ever be moved up for winning a state title if Howard was not moved up after winning the past two?

Move up from 1A to 2A. I agree, that the cowards at DIAA will never move up any team with less than the old D1 enrollment to 3A.

With the exception of HVT (when they were in D2) Howard has been the most consistently good in D2 over the last decade. Winning 3 state championships, making the tournament 9 of 10 and never having an at or below .500 season
