Middletown Post 25 will be recruiting players in the spring of 2015 for summer season.
We are aware that a player has a few options like Legion baseball, travel team and Delaware Semi-pro. Middletown Post 25 Baseball has had several players (approx. 25) play college baseball (D-1, D-2 and D-3 programs) from the 2010-2014 teams. Our coaching staff is committed to providing high quality baseball instruction and assist each player with the process of college recruiting. American Legion Baseball provides the opportunity for local D-1 schools , D-2/D-3 schools in the Tri-State area to come out watch you play in league games. If, you are trying to be recruited by out of state D-1 programs then you should try to get on a travel baseball team. If your trying to be recruited by D-2 and D-3 schools then playing Legion Baseball could be your best option. Typically D-2 and D-3 schools do not attend the Elite College showcase 16-18U travel ball tournaments. Our coaching staff encourages our players to prepare a video displaying their baseball skills. The next step is that each player should then chose a college or universities they are interested in continuing there academic education. Our staff as assisted players in this process , preparing the skills video and how to contact these institutions. We recommend they contact the College or Univeristy and send them the skills video/sign up for that institution's prospect camps. This method has proven to be affective and gives the college coaches an opportunity to attend our league and playoff games.

To give an example, we had approx 15 coaches contact our coaching staff in summer of 2014, which all 15 coaches attended our league games to watch the players they were recruiting. So, if you are interested in playing at the next level and are looking to play D-2 and D-3 baseball with schools in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and New York, you should consider playing American Legion Baseball.

The Middletown Post 25 Baseball coaching staff is dedicated to help our players and their families in the college recruiting process.

If you live in the MOT area (Appoquinimink school district and Smyrna School District) you are eligible to tryout for our team. We will be hosting a tryout in late April 2015. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Head Coach Vince at the following email: post25baseball@gmail.com.
