Never want to see a kid get hurt... Hope he doesn't miss the whole year and bounces back...bet they wish they handled Argoe situation a bit different now smh
Karma is not real so who caresKarma is directed at the staff not the kid... And what was stated about how the other kid was handled is dead on
and you keep drinking the Elk milkWe've already this discussion raven... You keep drinking that caravel juice.
.. fyi Kent Island 27 Elkton 0
agreedIn fairness, Kent Island would roll CA too, regardless of who was quarterback.
yeah like I believe that,,,if you have no ties then what makes you think you know whats going on other than an outsiders "opinion"? dude your full of poppycockThe difference between us is that I have an unbiased opinion... Nothing ties me to any of the schools etc... Just call a spade a spade.. this spade just happens to be the situation with your beloved bucs
LOL emotional... dude no let go of your feelings Son. .I dont give a crap if CA wins or loses.. I didnt give that much of a crap when my Son played other than how he was feeling and how he was handling wins or losses.. I care about development and how the game teaches life lessons that it is it,, win or lose.. you got me all wrong hombreLol... Some people can have opinions without being cheerleaders for their kids former schools. Your to emotional about this stuff... Get over yourself big guy
Never want to see a kid get hurt... Hope he doesn't miss the whole year and bounces back...bet they wish they handled Argoe situation a bit different now smh
panties in a bunch? you know this how,, its your intepretaion,, just because I respond and retort doesnt mean my panties are in a bunch ,,its just banter dude get over yourselfYou get your panties in a bunch everytime caravel is bought up....But if you say so ... Regardless I'm done for the day.. Definitely over my post limit...enjoy
Word is there is a small fracture and torn ligaments .. He is done for the year.. but should be fine for baseball Can't wait to see him pitch,, Nasty lefty with a live ballI personally do not have a problem with this post-its not a shot at the kid-just 1 guy expressing his opinion on how he thinks this is "karma" on the staff at Caravel. That said this ain't the NFL- the team did not cut the kid- HE LEFT and that's the end of that. No Karma.....No Bullcrap....end of damn story. I wish a speedy recovery for Barker and best of luck to Argoe. Its as simple as that.
Since you brought the kid up, yeah, it kinda does have something to do with the kid. Since you chose to celebrate the injury as some kind of divine intervention to correct some possible coaching staff underhandedness, yeah, it is tasteless and classless. There is no twisting of your words here, it is clear what you did.Dont try and make the post out to be more than what it is.... Has nothing to do with the kid and if that is how you or anybody else took it I apologize.... If you read my initial post I clearly state that.... This has to do with the staff and how I bet the wishes they treated the other kid better and he never left the school.... That's it.... And you guys are so funny with what is tasteless and what is not... I rarely post but do read half of the nonsense you guys post.... Again not a knock on the kid and I hope he's able to bounce back and has a complete recovery..... Doesn't change the fact that the way Argoe was pushed out of there and how now that staff has to deal with not having a Qb when you already had one before you did him dirty ... That's the karma part... AGAIN NOT DIRECTED TO THE KID THAT GOT INJURED..... Don't twist what my post is about
Its like he was waiting for this to happen to pounceSince you brought the kid up, yeah, it kinda does have something to do with the kid. Not sure why any of you taking this as an attack on the barker.... Like I said I wish him well and feel bad that he got hurt.....Never want to see a kid get hurt... Hope he doesn't miss the whole year and bounces back...bet they wish they handled Argoe situation a bit different now smh

Yes, we are all twisting your words, that is exactly what has happened. We are so sorry to have interrupted your celebration of CA getting what they had coming. Please continue with your well founded observations. And may Karma soon find you.Not sure why any of you taking this as an attack on the barker.... Like I said I wish him well and feel bad that he got hurt.....
Yup I was waiting for a kid to get hurt so I can make a point on this message board that you guys live and die on... Lol you got me....like I said don't twist what was stated... It's pretty clear what I meant and I also reiterated a couple different times for folks trying to Fox News spin my post... Hate to see the kid get hurt...kid is a very good ball player... Can't explain it any clearer than that... Interpret it as you may... Doesn't change the error in the coaching staffs handling of the Argoe kid...
OK I get that but what error though?,, If the kid was accepted in the school should they (the coaching staff) have told the kid he couldn't come out for football and compete for a job? thats nonsense,, Argoe was a victum of circumstance nothing more and they chose to bail rather than compete.. Its that simpleNot sure why any of you taking this as an attack on the barker.... Like I said I wish him well and feel bad that he got hurt.....

The kid is a competitor. Was always thrust into situations he was to young for at ECA. Cant wait to watch him pitch,,,God speed on his recoveryBarker competes, he understands life is a series of competitions, so you win and others you lose. Had ECA continued, he'd have graduated from there. Had IMG wanted a 3-star backup for Mond, and had offered a tuition discount, that's where he'd have finished after ECA.
He put himself I competition with Sills everyday (7v7 and later HS), and into the backup role to play against the likes of DeSoto (TX), St Edward (OH), DeMatha( MD)...etc as a Soph, and against IMG (FL), Gilman (MD), St Joes Regional (NJ) as a Jr. You'd be hard pressed to find many QBs having faced as many top-50 teams in the nation, particularly in the DMV area.
He sought out the Rivals/UA Columbus Regional (he finished 1st of 80 QBs), and placed 2nd in Balt finals (there were four regionals) (12 QBs holding 103 offers). Perhaps he could teach you a thing or two about testing yourself and learning something new.
I'm an uncle, and I'm done with the board until he shows up to compete vs Delaware HS players this baseball season.
I don't want to put it on the kid.. It very well could have been the parents decision..I don't know but I have worked with the kid a few times and he was very disinterested in learning anythingEnd of day Argo left because he was afraid to compete. Say what you want but he knew he would lose the QB job to Barker.
Not trying to be an ass but it is what it is. Barker is a great QB and Argo is a good QB. The situation clearly sucked for Argo I get it but nothing is guaranteed in high schools sports not even starting roles for returning starters.

What a silly view. Ever see the movie Rudy? I suppose you would back some sort of "starter, 2nd string, third string" sort of jersey patch so you could bust some of these kids at the mall. Some of you guys are just too muchValid points. Hey I have two football players and I recognize some kids are just better so in this case I might have moved my kid too. Trust me I get it unfortunately many parents don't.
My kids will not play college football like %99 of others on this board it's just about having fun. So if football was that important to the kid and it is his senior year and Barker is just better then transfer and play ball. Nothing wrong with that.
That's one thing that kills me with Sallies right now a ton of kids go there and will never play but talk about thier championship rings. No offense if you didn't play it's a participation ring not a championship ring. Go to another school and play. Most kids will never have the experience of playing college football so high school is the last chance you have if the rush of playin football. It's more important to play then win a championship. These kids all need to go some were they can actually play.
