Staying could cost him financially. Playing devils advocate here. All the NBA scouts watched that game last night and saw Donte, possibly at his best. What if he comes back next year, and defenses start to key on him, and he gets exposed. Or, god forbid, he gets hurt. Because of that game last night, he may be at his marketable peak, right now. TAKE THE MONEY DONTE!!I think he stays at Nova for another year. With Bridges and Brunson most likely gone he will be the focal point of the offense. Think it raises his stock for the NBA draft too.
Has there ever been a better game played by a Delaware HS player? National Championship MOP.
A few NBA execs said he should stay one more year. He will be the guy for Nova next year and that will really help him. Wouldn't be surprised to see him go to the combine but I'm pretty confident he stays.Staying could cost him financially. Playing devils advocate here. That’s always a chance you take sticking around when your stock is up...just ask Grayson Allen. If Donte continues to produce at a high level the next year or 2 when teams are directly keying on him his stock will rise even higher. It just works both ways depending on the player. I’m pretty sure Ben Bentil (St. Andrews) entered the draft out of Providence a couple of years ago after his sophomore year leading the Big East in scoring, was drafted late 2nd Round & I’m not sure if he has seen the floor in an actual NBA game...although I’m he is probably making decent money overseas do you think he sometimes second-guesses that decision to leave when he did? If you stay you still have a chance to develop more but if you hire that agent & leave there is no turning back to get those 2 years if you don’t get the looks that you expected. I think every kid’s personal situation can effect their decision as well.Staying could cost him financially. Playing devils advocate here. I also believe you have to strike while the iron is hot. He will not be in a better position than he is now to take advantage of the way he played lasts night. That is the last thing the NBA execs have seen and that performance will be hard to top if he stays around. Go now and pursue your life long dream of being the league. He is probably a late 1st round or early 2nd round pick after that performance.Staying could cost him financially. Playing devils advocate here. Has he played for them this G-League season? I remember hearing about him playing there last season but was told he was currently overseas.Ben Bentil plays for the NBA G League team the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.. They play tonight at 7 on ESPNU for a spot in the finals
I wonder how many games of Donte's these two pinheads have seen.
