To me HVT wasn't a surprise,, they made semis last year and returned everyone.. Neither is Dover we all knew they had the Dynamic Duo.. The biggest surprise in D1 is the collapse of Smyrna the rest I agree with well except Central we saw them coming last year but lets throw FSMA the "Baby Bulldogs" into the surprise dept.
Yeah disappointments are in order well I would shuffle the order some but whatever

St Marks biggest disappointment?
They’ve never made the playoffs in DII. It’s not the same school they were 5 years ago .
Expectations are way too high by people who just see the name St Marks and think about what they used to be. Times have changed in a big way there.

Fair - just thought they would be better with those seniors and transfers, especially how they started the year.
Dover had the potential, but have come together.
Hodgson and Central are just more dominant than expected.

Smyrna falling apart like they have the last few weeks have been the stunner. Everything else has gone as expected for me.
Actually semis last year for Hodgson, so I agree, not a surprise this year. And they’ll probably enter next season as #1.
Whatever Dover changed defensively this year is working. Dynamic duo doesn’t play defense. So I think they should be considered in the surprise category.
