Saw the Odessa-Laurel game tonight. Fast paced with plenty of action. Laurel was over-matched, but played hard and made a couple runs. Got down 32-15 in the 2nd Q, but ran off 9 straight to finish the half down 32-24. Got it down to 34-27 in the 3rd, but Odessa - primarily #24 Jaylen Bernikow - just took over and pulled away. Bernikow was extremely impressive. He ran the point, directed the offense, controlled the pace, and scored from all over. I think he had 7-8 three pointers, while missing only one or two. Very smooth textbook form on the shots. He also had a tremendous two handed slam off a lob pass on a 3 on 1 fast break. If you haven't seen him play, he is worth watching. Not sure how far they will go, but Odessa was poised, quick, and ran pressure D all night. Not particularly big though, but they looked well-coached.

Thanks for posting. As you know, Delaware's coverage of this tournament continues to suck. I can't find a box score anywhere.

Appreciate the recap. I wish others that attend games would do the same because coverage of this tournament is practically non-existent. It's sad that the media outlets don't care enough to cover it.
