Boys

·Mt. Pleasant, Smyrna and St. Georges all tied at #4 seed. Head to head did not resolve the tie. St. Georges was awarded the #6 seed based on common opponents because they lost to Wm. Penn and the other two won. Winning percentage of opponents gave Mt. Pleasant the #4 seed.

·Cape and St. Thomas More tied at #13. Head to head and common opponents did not break the tie. Winning percentage of opponents gave Cape the #13 seed.

·Middletown, St. Andrews and Woodbridge tied for the #15 seed. Win % vs common opponents gave Middletown the #15 seed. St. Andrews earned the #16 seed based on a win over Milford while Woodbridge lost to Milford.

·St. Marks and Newark tied at #19 seed. St. Marks got the #19 seed based on a better win % vs common opponents.

·CR, RLCA, Howard and Glasgow all tied at the #22 seed. Head to head and win % vs common opponents did not resolve the ties. Win % vs all opponents resulted in CR earning the #22 seed, RLCA earning the #23 seed and Howard earning the #24 seed.

·Conrad won the Diamond State Athletic Conference but did not meet the minimum qualifications for an automatic berth and did not make the tournament based on their index.

I'm sticking with Mount Pleasant as my pick to win it all, but my one crazy prediction is that Delcastle crashes the Final Four. Other than that, hard pressed to see any upsets.

Mount got a draw full of LANDMINES, before they even get to Sanford, they'll either get Smyrna or Appo which is no joke with the talent that those two teams have, so if they can survive that, get to the Final Four and win it all, they definitely will have earned it.

To me, Sallies getting to the Bob and even to the title game wouldn't be that big of an upset - they have the talent, it's just a matter of putting all together at the right time. They get a nice tune up game with Red Lion, then get to go play a really tough Delcastle team, who I like a lot in spite of them losing at Sanford the one time I saw them.

I like Delcastle as well. I'm not sure why but I'm still not sold on William Penn...I think Middletown will even challenge them in the 2nd Round. I like Milford's draw of Howard then a St. E's team without money is very beatable.

Mt. Pleasant got a very tough draw...I like Cape over Newark & Cape will be no pushover for Mt. Pleasant in that 2nd Round. Mt. Pleasant, Smyrna, Appo, Cape & only 1 of them can make it to the Final 4...by far the toughest road to the Final 4.

and they already lost to appo this year could get interesting !!

You can look at it that way or you can say sallies is 5-1 in there last 6 games lol, by the way Sallies had one of the toughest schedules in the state. Every team they lost to Has a bye in the tournament. It's 0-0 when the tournament starts!

Out of the 6 in-state teams that Sallies loss to 5 of them have byes in Sanford, William Penn, Mt. Pleasant, Smyrna & St. E's...the other was #12 Appo so they are battle tested & didn't lose to any slouches.

I love Dover but St marks could be a nightmare for them if they were to meet up in the 2nd round

I seen Delcastle lose to a Mt pleasant team with No Burnett and it was never a contest I wasn't really impressed I don't see them getting to the final 4 but They may be a different team now so we'll see

I think Dover's athleticism would get them past St. Mark's but I would want to see them pressure St. Mark's into turnovers to avoid playing the game at their slow pace. I like St. Thomas More to beat St. Mark's though.

Delcastle last 12 games: 11-1. Salesianum last 12 games 6-6.
As much as I like Sallies, I think they're too young & inexperienced (by comparison) to the top tier teams. However, if Alderman & Ali can contribute double digits they could make it interesting. Watch out next year & afterwards. By the way, what happened to Jamal W for the Big S?

Dover is very undisciplined with that slow tempo I'm worried about them turning the ball over their half court sets sucks. But if they can get out and run it will be a blow out

I'm glad they didn't have social media when I was a kid in school. All grown adults just a thought before posting? Not to say I agree or dis-agree with postings, just something to consider.

Is this just generic or in reference to something?

Nothing major just saw a post on here about academic issues, but leaving it alone. Let's go back to talking brackets. that's it from me on this topic.

Cape squeaks by Newark and pulls a major upset against #4 Mt. Pleasant.

Sallies will roll and beat a good Delcadtle team.

St. Thomas More will upset #Dover.

This is a pretty weak first round. I've only seen half these teams. I'm leaning toward the battle of the Saints. Mark vs Tommy More. TMore has a better team but can they step up in class? This could go either way.

March Madness is a special time. Everyone 0-0. It WILL be an upset somewhere. I usually look at a team who has very capable players who are not scared of the moment and a coach that knows what he is doing. Those are the teams that top 8 should worry about.

Or a coach that knows what she is doing too!
