Many on this board well versed in state wide talent. There has been a lot of discussion about Delaware talent. I am interested in where kids playing for Delaware teams have committed. I am only talking about 'current' teams.

Here is what I know:

Dixon-Quinnipiac
Cale-Seton Hall

Who else?

Here's the deal with the college commits. For those kids that are talented enough & meet the academic requirements there's this belief that everyone is a D1 player. So parents and kids will turn down d2, d3 & other offers in hopes of getting d1. Let me say that's their prerogative. Many even consider going prep & more development to land that d1 opportunity & most end up worse than before or at a d2 anyway. D2 is no joke. A lot of good schools and tough competition. I am of the belief not to walk away from a free education at a good school. I say take the money, u got Kids graduating $100000 in debt.

you think players like Walsh and Evans from Sanford are d1 or d2 players

Walsh and Evans d2 in my opinion & the d2 money should be 80-100%.

Reasons:
Walsh needs more strength development to be d1 which will allow him to finish better through contact and compete on the boards in college. He has good skills can shoot the jump shoot but he looks about 185-200 lbs, I've got 6'5 16 year old kids @ 215-230 solid. His shoots are to easily altered by kids half his size and he goes down under heavy contact. Evans needs to work on his jump shoot but is a solid point, good body size, excellent vision, high iq. Evans closer to being d1 than Walsh because he has talent, iq, & the physical body to run a team @ point. He doesn't make many mistakes either, controls tempo, plays through contact. I would market him as a big tough floor General with high iq to smaller d1 schools & fix the jumper but that should off been done over a year ago and showcased with AAU exposure which is why I say d2.

I wanted to also add, coaches recruit the right fit for their programs, so the evaluation of what players they take is based on who fits well into there style of play or program needs. It only takes 1or 2 coaches to be sold on a kids talent, character to offer scholarship $$$.

kyle evans can easily run the point at a mid major d-1 program. easily. His patience, selflessness, IQ, and commitment to play defense should have alot of those schools interested especially with his body size
