True but I don't think they will be able run the ball like that vs Sals.. I think they need the full arsenal.. just an opinion
Pretty sure none of the top teams would want to get into a shoot out with Smyrna, WP, Sals and MT Offenses are built for ball control/ not quick scoring. Sustainable drives are really the only way limit the Eagles O from scoring. Use the clock! They can't score if their not on the field!IMO, Sals,WP & MT run D is very good. Nolan's arm/legs will be the difference. Hard to contain both! He has set himself apart as an exceptional play maker, they live and die with him.

Just my 2 cents but wind is the only element that I think will affect the Smyrna O. Gloves and cold weather equipment have gotten so good that I don't think the rain and cold have that much affect any more. Really hope that either MT or WP match up with Smyrna in the semi finals.
I really think your likely to see WP vs Smyrna in semi's, 2 vs 3 if things stay the way they are presently. If the top 4 run the table the next 2 weeks, & #3 & #4 win first round, Sals stays @ #1, WP #2, Smyrna #3, MT #4.
Getting into a shootout with Smyrna would be a bad idea . Smyrna is very capable running the football. Can't wait to see them against a top defense .
Fan...agree with your take on not wanting to get into a shootout w/the Eagles....but didn't we already see them against a top D in the Sals game?
I am curious, has any team yet been able to pressure, hurry, sack, tfl, ff, bkup, int, blk the Eagles QB?
I have yet to see smyrnadelphia in action, I'm waiting for the tourney. I Hope to get the WOW did I just see that factor.

Yeah but that game might have been misleading. It was early in the season and it was kind of a coming out party for Smyrna (at least on offense). Sallies would absolutely defend Smyrna differently and both teams I think learned a lot that night. If they play again I would expect a much different score. I guess my point is early season games can be misleading. Teams change and improve as the year goes on.
The Smyrna defense is much better than they showed in that game against Sallies.

Give Me your Logic.. WP the Defending State Champions. 1 Loss to Sallies same as Smyrna. Wp 2nd or 3rd toughest schedule. Look at the Wins and Losses of the teams both have played. I always say you are the #1 team till you are beaten. Well Sallies Beat Wp but Smyrna hs not beaten Wp. We will see I guess when Smyrna Travel to Wp on Thanksgiving Weekend. So NO LOGIC to have Smyrna ahead of Wp. They have earned there spot make Smyrna Earn it...
