This is how I have it (Assuming the favorites win other than TH V Friends)

If Friends wins

1. St G 4.5
2. Lake 4.4
3. Friends 4.12
4. Laurel 3.8
5. CA 3.7
6. Arch 3.5
7. HVT 3.4
8. T Hill 3.0

1st Round

8.T Hill @ 1.ST G
7.HVT @ 2.Lake
6.Archmere @ 3.Friends
5.CA @ 4.Laurel

If Tower Hill Wins

1. St. G 4.5
2. Lake 4.4
3. Laurel 3.8
4. CA 3.7
5. T Hill 3.67
6. Friends 3.67 ( TH with HtoH tie breaker)
7. Archmere 3.5
8. HVT 3.4

1st Round

8.HVT @ 1. St G
7.Archmere @ 2.Lake
6.Friends @ 3.Laurel
5.T Hill @ 4. CA

HVT as a 7 or 8 seed is a bracket buster... in either scenerio they will have a shot to take out 1 and 2.. Not sure I would bet against it either .. just as last year they are coming together down the stretch...

Lol RR, I think Caravel can handle Laurel pretty easily. Plus I really can't see TH beating Friends. Neither are very good but Friends did do a good job against one of the best players in the state in Westcott from Woodbridge.

Honestly I don't know anything about either of them (Friends or TH) in looking over the scores of common oppents it appears to be a even match-up

As for Laurel.. after having to travel down there last year in the first round vs Delmar I really didn't want to have to do it again.. Go Hillers.. lol

Maybe I have this wrong, but if Friends loses, their index would be 3.888. They would have 32 points for their 8 wins plus 2 extra for Rising Sun being a D1 win plus the 1 point from Tower Hill=35/9= 3.888

Isn't that correct?

Rising Sun is D2.. at least according to WDEL guys research.. I believe he got confirmation on all except MKL who Sallies played

MATHs and St Adrews never played the required games.. no points .. also in looking at CCBOE stats Rising Sun had 1114 in 2013 and 1147 for 2014 (not sure if there is a margin of error in these stats vs what the schools report to DIAA)

Lets break Friends down

Friends(Balt) W- 4
Seaford- W-4
Woodbridge- W-4
MATHS FFT-W no points (MATHS only had 3 games scheduled)
McKean- W-4
Moyer- W-4
Tatnall- W-4
St Andrews- W- 0 (St A only played 7 games)
Rising Sun- W-4 (poss 6) ??

If rising Sun is D2 28/7 (4.0) + 2 30/7 (4.29) if RS is D1

SO if Freinds beats TH its 33/8 ( 4.13) or if RS is D2 35/8 (4.38)
if TH wins its 29/8 (3.63) or if RS is D1 31/8 (3.88)

uughhh!!

Back to the Drawling board... How about Friends just play a real schedule before even being considered LOL

1. St G 4.5
2. Lake 4.4
3. Friends 4.13 (4.38)
4. Laurel 3.8
5. CA 3.7
6. Arch 3.5
7. HVT 3.4
8. T Hill 3.0

1st Round

8.T Hill @ 1.ST G
7.HVT @ 2.Lake
6.Archmere @ 3.Friends
5.CA @ 4.Laurel

If Tower Hill Wins

1. St. G 4.5
2. Lake 4.4
3. Laurel 3.8
4. CA 3.7
5. T Hill 3.67
6. Friends 3.63 (3.88 , 3 seed)
7. Archmere 3.5
8. HVT 3.4

1st Round (if Rising Sun is D2)

8.HVT @ 1. St G
7.Archmere @ 2.Lake
6.Friends @ 3.Laurel
5.T Hill @ 4. CA

1st Round (if Rising Sun is D1)

8.HVT @ 1.St G
7.Archmere @ 2.Lake
6. Tower Hill @ 3.Friends (good grief!)
5. CA @ 4. Laurel

Its rediculous Friends could lose to TH and end up three seed with that schedule (if Rising Sun is D1)

We need rising sun confirmation..

Its rediculous that the whole standings are going to be determined by what really is a JV game??

I suggested years ago adding a Div 3 that would have avoided this scenario. I am not tryig to be a smarta$$, but really silly to have this be potential scenario. Just sayin.

Playoffs being decided by two rich private schools? Classic Delaware LOL.
Round 1 could have some snoozers, but from round 2 to the chip will all be MUST WATCH GAMES

Regardless of the seeding; there will be some great playoff games. St. George's, Caravel, Lake and Hodgson will all be fun to watch match up against each other.

@RR....I have hvt max @36pts most likely 35pts...5 d2 wins(20) plus 2 d1 wins (12) =32 +2 stg +1 Bucs plus Newark +1???? With a win..so hvt would be 3.5 or 3.6

Yeah I didn't do all the Math.. I assumed WDEL's numbers were good.. as turns out too many mistakes... I'm over it.. just tell me where to be and what time..

Here is HVT break down though

CA- 0
Mt P- 4
CR-6
St G-2
How-0
Dickinson- 4
Bwine-4
New- 6
McK- 4

Total in bank- 30

4 when they beat- Chris- 34
1 if CA Beats Mount
1 if Newark beats Concord (long shot with Newark QB out)

so yeah your correct.. and that being the case someone else can go figure out if HVT would have a tie break over Auks... I am fried on this...

Archmere would have the tied breaker. Just did the #s for opponent wins and Archmere has more opponent wins and 1 week won't make a change. Hodgson would need Newark to win against Concord to get the higher seed.

Wilmington Friends opponents record = 21 - 61, and that already includes Tower Hill's 8-1 record. That my friends may be the largest batch of cupcakes you could find. Props to the AD at Friends for putting that one together.

This pales in comparison when you look at Woodbridge and DMA who might finish 9th and 10th in Division II this year.

Woodbridge will have played three Division I schools (Appoquinimink, Polytech, and Sussex Tech) this year, while DMA played two Division I heavyweights (St. Mark's and Salesianum). Of course Woodbridge played Friends, so they don't have much of an argument, as for DMA, who knows???

Maybe the Friends - Tower Hill loser will decline the invitation to the playoffs HA HA HA HA

This is why we need D3 LOL. Can't blame Tower and Friends for winning with their cupcake schedule, just have to reward other teams for playing tougher schedules. 2015 D3, a man can dream LOL

Get entered in the playoffs by points and seeded by common sense.Teams with tougher schedules and more quality wins go to the top. Teams playing terrible schedules go to the bottom. I am fine with Friends and Tower Hill getting in but they should be seeded 7-8. I feel the other 6 are battle tested and ready to go. Seems unfair to Lake and HVT that they might draw each other. While Archmere is probably pretty happy they could potentially have Friends in the first round.
