Newark High School grad David Grinnage was called up from the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad to the 53 and is playing today vs the Cowboys in Dallas. Congrats to the young man! Perseverance pays off!

Not being an ass well yeah most will think I am but to me I would want my boy who graduated college to be out working in whatever field he/she chose.. Being on a practice squad waiting to be called up for a game or 2? There is a time when you move on from the game and get on with your life... just saying but I will give the obligatory atta boy for making the pro"s woo hoo

I am not a positive kind of guy so that is not surprising Nor am I negative.. just a realist.. I just take things as they are.. I am not moved by someone making an NFLteam any more than i am someone being cast in a hit movie..People who give their freedom and lives to help others move me..People who leave their families here to go help families in FLA after a hurricane move me...
Actually allot of my customers do but they are self employed and go down there and help clean up and come back. I really like my customers for the most part.. Hard working salt of the earth type folks..

You realize that this is a football forum, right, not a community service forum? I appreciate those people too, but I also appreciate the hard work it takes to be one of the 1,696 rostered NFL players. That you can’t, and that you feel the need to throw shade at a Delaware kid that achieved that, kinda makes you a douchebag. I’m not trying to be negative, or positive, just being a realist.
I mean being on the practice squad is a job that pays 90,000 as a rookie. So I’d say that’s better than most kids coming out of college will receive.

"Delaware kid" what makes a Delaware kid any more important than a Montana or Kansas kid? What so a kid is born in a area you live it somehow makes you feel more special if the kid does something?
I don't identify myself based on lines in the dirt ..people are people regardless what real estate they live on.. Everyone is special in their own right but again no one is special just another person whether they run fast or sing well. Have a gift for the gab or look appealing or fat and not so appealing. What does Caravel have to do with it?.. I am a fan only because my sons went there. I am not a alumni or coach and I don't work there. I in no way represent the typical Caravel fan or parent,, My opinions are my own and don't represent Caravel in any way
Caravel is a team to watch in the next two years. They are young now, but after the growing pains a lot of teams are going to be in trouble

“Delaware Kid” most of us grew up in the 302, unlike some people we are extremely proud of our athletes that make it to the next level. Yes, we are proud of our Dr’s, lawyers, teachers and others that do well but our athletes are continually under attack because of our so call “weak” competition and the fact the people believe the only way to make big in athletics is to leave our state. Money isn’t important? Nice ideology but money is important to me. I will be 52 soon and plan on retiring at 57, so yeah money is important. I’ve been maxing out my 401k since I was 23 and believe it is extremely important to have a strong understanding of money and finances, unless you are ok with working until your 67. #Delawareproud
If you don’t care about football, are not impressed by long shot players realizing their dreams, and you couldn’t care less about Delaware kids reaching the highest level of the sport, then why the fnck are you commenting on a Delaware football board?
