yep D1 and D2 down... The last 6 years or so our top team has been ranked in the top 500... even the top 200 the last few years.. This year our top ranked team lost to a 5-5 team ranked 1165 from Philly.. Its bad folks..

Maybe, but who cares. This season has been pretty exciting with a great bunch of games this coming weekend .
Too many schools in a small area at least upstate to have a national power. Sallies laid an egg against Judge but that game was meaningless and it was after Sallies had beaten Smyrna.
Lots of kids excelling at the next level also.

I think we're just spoiled- HVT was unbelieveable last season, as was StG. Sallies, MT, WP were all loaded. Down? I don't know about that. I think there are some of the best athletes we've seen playing HS football right now.
I believe Sals had a chance to beat FJ, correct? They had a late TD wiped off the board or something near the end of the game...

And no there are no Ross's, Wades, Godwins, Taylors, or Jarmins this year. There is a Reeder but even he is not what his bro was in terms of D1 size Jmho

RR I agree, one reason is that those players were house hold names by the end of their HS career. We got to know them due to the local media for 4 years, they excelled for 4 years , most of these guys playing are seeing their first significant playing time. Not to diminish from what they have done, just haven't had the exposure IMO.
For the record, Reeder is an inch taller and about the same weight as his brother played in 2013
