It was a great game. Came down to the last plays LITERALLY.
Great games by Michael P. Jordan Money and Malik Curry for St. Es
Jordan Allen played like a stud. He may have had 28 so.
Jordan Money 20pts Malik Curry 22pts but it was Mike P that delivered.
After Allen missed from end of a 1&1 in the last few secs.
Mike P sprints down the floor gets fouled. Makes both freethrows to put The Viks up 2.
Then gets game sealing steal. St E Vikings move on to play the Sanford Warriors. Tuesday Night.

Great Game.

I wish I was there. But it sounds like my MVP had a good game minus the missed free throw at the end

Yelp just like everyone else MVP Donte who missed free throws to win at a couple games this year

I wouldn't say that 34 & 29 pts w/ 9 or 10 3-pointers in your last 2 games of the season on the big stage in the state tournament isn't clutch...I mean I would have liked to see Allen ice the game for Dover but that didn't happen. Missed free throws have been a big factor in these close games late in the season. I think that Allen has proved that he is worthy of 2nd Team All State & if it wasn't for that losing streak that Dover went on midseason he could have easily been a 1st Teamer. He'll be in the POY discussion next year.

at J12, my first time seeing him, that kid is GOOD, hopefully he get some exposure this spring and summer, hes much better than than he probably even knows

He's the best player downstate in my opinion but with Poly's record Mallory or gray will get 1st team over him

he's WAY BETTER than anyone has given him credit for, he didn't even shoot well yesterday and did what he did....

That was my first time seeing Jordan Allen yesterday and I came away impressed with his demeanor, competitive drive and the fact that you have to guard him as soon as he gets across half court because he was letting em fly from DEEP - and making them. That missed free throw that ended up being the difference should motivate him to work hard over the summer and be ready to go come December. Talented kid.

Allen is a great player. He played as well as you play yesterday. He had 14 in the first half and 15 in the second. Can't ask for more than that. St E just had more balance. Like just about every game this weekend it could have gone either way.

To bad for him that the ref didnt give StEs coach the timeout he was screaming for before the foul shot.

Jordan Allen is the best player downstate and should be on 1st team in my opinion. The kid can flat out play! Put his numbers up against anyone in the state. I agree with J12-should be in the player of the year discussion next season.

are you comparing a 16 yr old kid to LeBron james? wow. Jordan was in that position twice this yr and iced victories. Its ok. he will be the second best player next year to mikey Dixon and could possibly win the player of the year

Not comparing, just having some fun with it. Allen is a good basketball player and will be the top player in the Henlopen next season.

Whouwit I beg to differ on Jordan being the best player downstate. I think you have to consider Gray from Poly. I saw the film of what he did to Howard and he's a legit D1 wing. My downstate sources tell me he's better than Mallory. I saw both Allen and Gray this year more than once and Gray is better.

gray is not better than Mallory because hes nowhere near as consistent. sorry but consistency has to stand for something and you know what you will get from Mallory no matter what. Gray will be cold and has a size advantage every night but will continue to put the jumper up instead of eating inside. Mallory can shoot it but if its not there you will find him down low, and he's the most sound fundamental player ive seen this year.

Fan you're right about consistency, but like I said I saw him 2 times and the 3rd being the Howard film. Hodgson he had 22 and 11, CR he had 26 and 10, and the Howard film 28 and 12.

Gray takes to many nights off Mallory would be the best player in the state if put his mind to it! hes too much of a nice guy I love his game but he just doesn't bring it all the time but he is the better of the two. Allen is better then both of them right now he has the killer instinct. That's just something you can't teach your born with it! Derrick Jones from Pa is a prime example its no way he shouldn't make McDonald's all American game but he didnt. One of the most talented kids I've see in a long time at his position

OR how about the refs not giving Dover's Coach a timeout when he didn't have any. You can see it clearly in the 302 sports video, Dover coaching asking for a timeout at the end of game when they hit the foul shot to take lead. That's an automatic technical. Chris Weber style

Jordan was by far more consistent than Gray. Don't get me wrong Gray is a beast! But Jordan is averaging probably close to 25 pts a game and is a very good rebounder. Most teams key on Mallory and he is able to score in many ways still, I think Mallory is the better player on Poly because of his versatility. But Jordan has seen more box/1s and junk defenses this season and still delivers.....Pound for pound....I'm going to say Allen. Look forward to watching him next season.
