I get the argument but it’s all about revenue. The WNBA doesn’t bring in the big dollars. Ticket sales, venue sales, Jersey sales and sneaker sales, The NBA Brings in billions. You can’t get water from a dry well

If so, Bummy stands corrected. I thought he still was on his old contract and the agreed upon extension begins in 2020-2021.

According to this report he makes 8.1 this year then the new deal kicks in. No matter what, Bummy would trade paychecks with him.

That is the point that I try to get through to people all the time. I keep up w/ the WNBA & I understand that the ladies want equal pay BUT if the fans are not pouring out near as much money or the the ladies are not generating as much revenue then how do you pay them equally? It would make no sense.

Actually, that linked article is a nice find. Based on the stats, she is the greatest foul shooter in professional basketball of all time.
Elena is on her way to being the MVP of the WNBA this year. The Mystics are probably favored to win the title. I hope they do and she gets some additional endorsement income.

Maybe the NBA which provides financial support to the WNBA could do more for the WNBA. There is no way they could ever be paid equally unless they had the same revenues and that isn't in the cards,
