Sallies won their last 3 games to qualify for the tournament and beat Middletown last week 31-17. The Sals benefited from multiple Cavalier turnovers last week in their win. The Sals defense has struggled at times this year to stop the run and this week will be a great challenge. Sussex Tech has run the ball on everyone and they will find a way against the Sals. As long as the Ravens defense holds up I see them winning this game.

#5 St. Mark's 7-3 at #4 Concord 7-3
These teams used to meet annually in the regular season so they are very familiar with each other. The Spartan passing game will be the difference in this one. Keeping Alleyne in check will be a challenge though.

Tower Hill simply doesn't belong in the playoffs and the Hawks should breeze in this one.

#5 Caravel 7-3 at #4 Laurel 8-2
A lot of people have forgotten about Caravel and overlooking them is a big mistake. They did lose 3 games but only 1 of those was to an in state team (St. Georges). Laurel has had a great season and is one of the most improved teams in the state. Should be a physical game with the Bucs winning.

#7 Hodgson 7-3 at #2 Lake Forest 10-0
Crappy draw for Lake. When Hodgson is playing well they are tough to beat and the Silver Eagles have been playing very well lately. Lake has a solid defense and a formidable ground game. I'm going with Hodgson to knock off a very good Lake team.

Friends finished unbeaten at 10-0 and crushed rival Tower Hill last Saturday. Last time Friends qualified for the tournament they beat Howard in the 1st round. Archmere played a much tougher schedule this year and that has them better prepared for this game. As long as the Auks don't overlook Friends they should prevail.
