FOX Sports 129O awards

upstate homer picks lol Buzby and the other guy who does games for Fox.. SMH

to be fair they only select from players they did the games for this season they even put that out there. They typically do upstate games and WDEL does downstate. They never did a Dover game but did do a Central game..

Anyone other than a defensive lineman from SC getting an award for DOY is an uneducated fool. That defensive line was the heart and soul of that team. Whoever this fox analyist is needs to get out more than Baynard and UD stadiums.

#99 Copes would be the DL it could go to lets compare..

#24 Barnes 64 solo 61 asst Total 125 7tfl 1sack 6ints led team in tackles
#99 Copes 48 solo 45 asst Total 93 25tfl 8 sacks

pretty close IMO being its 2 different positions. 25 tfl's is pretty impressive but that didnt lead the team #9 Lewis had 36 tfl's but only 79 total tackles

SC as a team had 138 tfl's.. 11.5 per game. That is allot

but I would give the nod to Barnes

Only a moron who doesn’t watch the games wouldn’t know that Barnes very frequently lines up on the D-line. Use your head. You think the best D in the state would be led in tackles by a Free Safety making tackles in the secondary?!?! Most opponents never made it past the line, a line Barnes was often part of.

Lewis #9 was one of my favorite players to watch on the team. Just a hard nosed, old fashion, tough football player. I think he played on the interior of the D line and played some RB (not enough in my opinion) As runner he was tough as they come. Loved contact and the first person rarely ever brought him down. Great open field speed for a bigger runner.

How the hell does he pick DiNardo as COY?? That guy should be in it EVERY year coaching at a school with all boys with enrollment in the 1500 range ,,,, come on man!!!

This is such a cop out excuse. He took a team of mainly underclassmen that many people expected to have a losing season to the championship. I’m sick of this “they have all guys” excuse. There’s also only about 1000 guys enrolled so I would check your facts.

Its amazing to me how the South didn't get any accolades earlier in this post...Sussex Central or Woodbridge...With Central winning the Division l title and Woodbridge winning Division ll title still no love...However all the critics were wrong...

A small D1 schoolu has about 1150 kids total. Sallies has nearly that many boys total. That is a possible huge advantage. Huge.

Sallies website claims about 1,100 students from DE, NJ, PA, and MD. Big draw from 4 states. Like I said, he should be in it every year. No cop out, just facts, like it or not.
