Friday Night Scores

Let him praise a so far successful season. AI hasn't had a this kind of start in a long time and haven't made the playoffs since 2009 I believe.

Yes, the schedule has not been the toughest thus far but we get to see them play Glasgow and Howard pretty soon. Based off their schedule I see AI going 8 and 2 at worst and making the playoffs. I do not think they will win D2 either but they definitely at least have a shot. I think they make the semis in the D2 tournament.

A D1 playoff scenario playing out is that Smyrna wins the HN but SC gets a higher seed in tourney with a 9-1 record. We have a long way to go.....

Smyrna should just focus on getting to playoffs, not worrying about seeding. Ugly football won't cut it against Central, Tech, and perhaps Poly.

Back up QB in and is doing his thing but Zags hold on and win 26-20

Central will have to beat Smyrna for that to happen Smyrna will have the bonus points to overcome one more loss than Central has.. Too many teams on Smyrna;s schedule will get 7 or 9 wins including Central as one of them

I agree about Tech Tech should have easily won that game vs Central but they just cant seem to finish drives and not shoot themselves in the foot.. If they can correct that then they could cause problems as for Pollly they were just fools gold

Milford Laurel game was an absolute mauling and was worse than 25-0 would indicate. I lost count of the number of flags, but the Laurel announcer was even a bit reluctant to announce "there's a flag on the play". Milford missed a FG on the opening drive and had 2 TDs called back later in the game on holding calls 30 yards behind the play. They were sitting on the doorstep again late in the 4th but kneeled twice to run out the clock. Not sure if Laurel ended up with positive yardage on the night. They did have a couple first downs but they lost a lot of yardage along the way.

I have made it a policy, to rarely speak about officiating in any way, shape or form. The way you overcome a penalty against you is simple. You shake it off and just try harder. That is exactly what Milford did tonight. A great many of the flags tossed in their direction, were warranted. Milford is a very young team and prone to mistakes, they made several of them tonight. Milford has not put together four quarters of football in any game all season, and they have the number one team in D-2 to face next week. Milford should not be worrying about calls, they should be worried about how they play. Nobody owes Milford anything, if they want it, they need to earn it.

No stats for Jared..37 points....I wonder how many were scored by the defense?
No box..this state is getting terrible for HS sports reporting...

Wagglehoggen did pretty well. Didn’t throw for many yards or TDs but also didn’t throw any god awful interceptions. Wasn’t afraid to run it. What success their offense had was almost exclusively because of him making a play, and they ran a bunch of counters that seemed to keep working for some reason.

I have to say I was pretty impressed with him. If he had a better system, perhaps one like Smyrna’s, and better talent around him, also like Smyrna’s, he would be pretty good.

And in regards to the defensive scores, I believe out of the 4 interceptions only one was returned for a touchdown but all resulted in short fields which led to points. Cape returned 2/3 interceptions last week for touchdowns so I guess this week was a win in that regard.

43 for 99 43% 128 ypg 3 td 7 int qbr 45.9 that is pretty abysmal for that offense. They aren't going to win the ship on Knight alone or even make it there..Do they have any other QB's in the hopper?

Are you talking about the last two games? If not your interception total is way off. There’s been 7 against Cape and CR...

Poly's 4-1. Their second half goes

vs. Laurel
@ Central
@ Dover
vs. Tech
vs. Smyrna

If they can go 3-2 in this stretch, they can make the playoffs, which would be a stunner tbh.

Cape coach stayed around 3 years too long. Should have been gone. Now who ever comes in has to really deal with a bad culture. Maull might want to wait for S. Tech, Delmar, CR or Dover to open up.

Poly will finish 5-5. Nothing to scoff at. They had been picked to finish last in the conference. Great job over there.

They could have had Maull there on his second year.. just my opinion

not sure Polytech head coach will make it through the season. that guy complains about everything from first whistle to last.
