And to educate you some , college coaches didn't come to CA to recruit.. Savage went to them and earned the offer at Marylands camp.. If you want your kids to get noticed you have to go out and show out at the camps. They arent coming to you.. just saying..
On the lighter side of things, I learned something last night that I didn't know after 23 years of officiating. Apparently it's a penalty for any player other than a team captain to talk to an official. Then I also learned that in high school you can't advance an interception made in the end zone. I learned this listening to two different game broadcasts. I have officially added working as a color commentator for a radio broadcast to my bucket list. Anyone have any connections out there?
The Kane train had a solid game but Drummond dominated after he ran the kick off back I realized he would be a problem.
I was at the game and lakes qb had no more than maybe 5-6 carries...since when is the double wing / wing t a gimmick offense ? Maybe old fashioned or suited for teams with limited talent and size but not a gimmick...I think lake ran the plays it had run all year and they did need to adjust last night...hats off to hvt they outperformed lake across the board and earned the win.....I will admit 5 straight procedure/delay penalties was crazy..I heard of milking the clock but shouldn't you take the lead before you do so ????

Kind of surprised to see this opinion of the Lake coach. I was impressed overall with Lake. I thought the kids played hard and I thought the coaches made a couple of nice adjustments to some of the things HVT did. When HVT ran an odd front it looked like Lake would run Flamer a little wider on his runs up the middle. They also moved Flamer over #59(my son) to try and stop the runs to the right. Also it looked like they slanted the entire defense right to try and stop those runs - Jones just made a great read and broke left on the td before the half. He's just that good. I do agree that the delay penalties were inexcusable. Overall though I thought the Lake kids played hard nosed opportunistic football and never gave up. Just a side note my son #59 got the flu in the second quarter and puked his guts out the rest of the game. Had he not gotten sick I think HVT wins by a little wider margin but my opinion is biased. Congrats to Lake on a great season and it's always tough to lose the last game of the season.

@Wingstopaws.. After further review you are correct it was 3rd down and that pass interference call was correct.. CA play er had left arm around the receivers waiste prior to the ball arriving... however on the TD pass it was clearly offensive PI... Good luck with Friends at Caravel.. I guess I will come watch LOL..
its what homefield advantage is all about, your are right RR, it was OPI. everybody saw it, clearly pushed off. But thats what you get when you get a home game. same thing happened to delmat last time we were at your field. ref took points off the board on an extra point that cost us the game when it was clearly the wrong call. homefield advantage

Very true Rizzo... Another interesting no call happened on the fumbled snap from the 5 that got returned for a TD... CA WR clearly false started when the wing went in motion.. Play should have been whistled dead and 3rd and goal from the 10.. not complaining its just interesting two no calls having that profound of effect in a game..reallity is CA's inabilty convert short yardage (particuarly iside the 10) was a problem all year and it cost them this game as well as the St G game.. boils down to that for them..

Everyone has their own opinion and I respect yours. Caravel is a great program and i'm sure will be right back in next season. However, I think people should at least now respect Laurel as a formmidable opponent. lol I will say its kind of odd the game is being played at caravel but i guess thats the way the cookie crumbled.
