Gabe Valmond will be one of the next superstars in high school basketball! He averaged 20.8 points a game this year as an 8th grader....he has a 3.5 GPA and takes honor classes...he is small and lean in stature yet large in heart...really large!!! His anticipation of passes leading to steals is incredible..he is fearless driving to the lane among the trees...he received along with, Azareya Kilgoe ,the first ever Mike Rice Student-Athlete Award at the Capital Classic. He is seen below in this link making an three-quarter court shot to put Shue-Medill Middle ahead 34-33 at the end of the third quarter in the Pizza King Championship of the 13th Capital Classic Middle School Basketball Tournament. Valmond finished the game with 23 points...6 assists..6 rebounds...4 steals. Woodbridge Middle went on to be victorious 43-37 at Lake Forest High School last night-February 18th 2018.

He’s definitely going to help a team the next 4 years. Who is the question, hasn’t decided yet!

This shot made it around the country on sportscasts but not quite to Sportscenter!!

Christiana middle school championship he put on show again. There was a few high school coaches their watching, delcastle’s coach was their and from what I heard he thinks he got him locked in but I know otherwise! He’s still trying to figure out where he best fits.
