Holy Angels/CYM Football Signups

Holy Angels football team has winning tradition in the CYM including 9 varsity championships in the last 10 seasons. Holy Angels players use their experience to lead successful high school careers, both on and off the field. We boast 2 current and 1 former University of Delaware Football players as alumni: Al Hansen, a fourth year RB, 2017 ECAC All-East Defensive Rookie of the Year, Colby Reeder, and 2017 and 18 First Team All-CAA, 2018 team captain, and current Los Angles Ram Troy Reeder.


•All games are played locally. From Caravel to Archmere, no traveling to PA or Middletown.

• Low registration costs

• Quality coaches with many years of service in the sport

• Northern Delaware Football officials referee every game

• Season starts August 12 lasts through November


Developed in the 1950’s as a low cost alternative to higher priced youth football leagues, CYM has a rich tradition of building character, instilling positive Christian values, and promoting good sportsmanship.

Grades 1-4 Flag (Instructional)

Grades 4-6 JV (Instruction/Competitive) Full Contact

Grades 7-8 (Competitive)

The CYM has teams that cover all of New Castle County and welcomes all players and religions. Players are usually affiliated with the program closest to the players home address.
 
Quick question, what happened to STJ? I moved from DE in the late 90's but when I was a kid in the 80's and coached a little in the 90's St. John's was in the mix almost every year. Also, I like CYO much better than CYM.

St. John started to go with you need to be a parishioner to play on there varsity teams. Really benefited holy angels and other teams.

What benefitted Holy Angels was getting the Reeders: Troy, Colby, but especially Dan. He is still coaching there. He brought in or they backed him with a high quality high school level staff and haven’t lost much since.
