At this point, I'm rooting for FSMA/McKean to make the playoffs just because. Unlikely because St. E/Friends/The Bridge/Archmere will finish with at least 7 wins each, but it'd be fun.

Only Friends and Archmere are probably locks for 7 wins. If St. Marks is truly good Woodbridge has a little work to do given they still have Delmar. St. E's has a lot of work to get to 7 (Friends, Archmere, ANC and St. Marks) Could lose 3 if not all 4.

I had Wm Penn with 9 (win over Newark is worth 6) and Christiana with 10 (win over Delcastle is worth 6).

Including this weekend's results, here's what D2 would look like if the season ended today:

Division 2 Playoff Points
1. A.i. DuPont - 6,6,4,4,4 = 24 = 4.8
2. Delmar - 6,4,4,4, 4 = 22 = 4.5
3. Howard - 6, 1, 4, 4, 4 = 19 = 3.8
4. St. Marks - 6,4,4,0, 4 = 18 = 3.6
5. Friends - 4,4,4,0, 6 = 18 = 3.6
6. Tower Hill - 0,4,6,4, 4 = 18 = 3.6
7. Archmere - 1,4,4,4, 4 = 17 = 3.4
8. St. Elizabeth's - 4,4,0,4, 4 = 16 = 3.2
---------------------------------------------------
9. DMA - 6,4,4,0, 1 = 15 = 3
10. FSMA - 4,4,4,0 = 12 = 3
11. Milford - 1,0,6,4,4 = 14 = 2.8
12. Mckean - 4,4,0,6, 0 = 14 = 2.8
13. Woodbridge - 4,1,0,4, 4 = 13 = 2.6
14. Lake Forest - 0,4,0,4,4 = 12 = 2.6
15. Brandywine - 0,4,4,0, 4 = 12 = 2.6

Playoff match-ups would be

1) AI vs. 8) St. E
2) Delmar vs. 7) Archmere
3) Howard vs. 6) Tower Hill
4) St. Mark's vs. 5) Friends

Howard would roll Tower Hill, but the other 3 would be very interesting games.

Without knowing the outcome of the A.I. Game, those rankings could be skewed.

Even if AI were to lose by forfeit or suspended kids, they would trade places with Delmar and Christiana would move into the 2.8 range with McKean and Milford.

So with that in mind it'd be

1. Delmar
2. AI
3. Howard
4. St. Mark's
5. Friends
6. Tower Hill
7. Archmere
8. St. E

1) Delmar vs. 8) St. E
2) AI vs. 7) Archmere
3) Howard vs. 6) Tower Hill
4) St. Mark's vs. 5) Friends

It's awful. Delmar's an exception because they're just that damn good, but Charter being classified as D1 and playing a ton of D2s is absurd.

I'm almost positive Charter is D2 now. They moved into the diamond state conference and are playing the entire conference

D1. They dropped out of Blue Hen for all sports when they wouldn’t let them play an Independent football schedule because they stink. Surprise Surprise, they still stink. Drop football.
Wait, can’t do that because the band won’t have anywhere to play.

Lots of teams stink. Maybe they should drop football too. If you look around the state the majority of the teams are bad. Only a handful of average to slightly above average teams. Delaware football is awful.

Don't drop football You dont have to win for the game to teach valuable lessons.. There is something to be said for a kid who plays for 4 years in HS and never wins,, Ill hire that kid.. perseverance, positive attitude, not afraid to fail, gets knocked down but gets up again, plays for the love of the game, and most of all a Teammate.

Absolutely agree. Football inforces much for than the game itself.
1. Accountability
2. Competitiveness
3. Work ethic
4. Teamwork
5. Push through injuries and still go to work.
6. Mental toughness
7. Physical toughness
8. Learning while under physical demands

As you said. I'd hire these kind of guys all day long.
