Class 3A all teams qualify for the playoffs, top 5 teams receives a Bye.

**Bonus Points will be added at a later date - 1bp for .500-.600 record, 2bp for .700-.800 record, 3bp for .900-1.00 record.

BiB….I used the Maxpreps for districts, once I figured out how to get to the standing page it was a little easier

on a side note, doing all this work shows me a few things that certain teams are being left out because they are in a tough district…I.e Milford,

Of course….listening to the podcast now just made me realize I messed up Tatnall…they beat Delcastle so they deserve 6 points, not 4 so Tatnall has a 2.80 index, not 2.40.

I’m assuming you’re talking about Class 3?

DIAA and the Football committee agreed that Class 3A would be an open playoff tournament. They said something similar to the words of, “if a team is in 3A they should be rewarded with a playoff berth”

me personally I think it was their way to convince Howard to be okay with moving up a class, but Howard was stern about staying out and they just never changed their mind about the open tournament. Not to mention it’s supposed to help the 3A teams to be okay with playing a 2A team so it won’t hurt their playoff chances

if you listen to Jon Buzby’s and Marty Sheehan’s podcasts they talk about more in depth. One of them mentioned on their latest one that they hope they change the all 11 make it because we’re gonna have 1st rd playoff games that will be 40-0 which is what DIAA was trying to avoid. And I agree with them.

2 big games this upcoming week with DMA vs. Howard and Caravel vs. Woodbridge. Should be an interesting start to the second half of the season.

JUST fyi... websiteforsports changed their format to be like MaxPreps to show district first.. someone there must read DePreps ..

you will still need to use MP for ID points allowed for the 2nd ID tie breaker though

Watching both play I think laurel is the better team but I think them and St. E's will be a competitive game. After the laurel/IR game I think we might have a better idea of what that game will look like.
