Yes, we're only going into week 4 and we still have a long season ahead of us but just to help everyone follow through with points, I figured I'd lend a hand. And I'm bored. Now points are not official, until the Sunday after Week 10, and if I'm wrong please feel free to let me know so I can adjust it. Also of note, points are then divided by how many games. Being only 3 weeks completed I'm not doing that.

Just curious what you used for tie breakers? D2 has 3 teams tied for 2nd Delmar, DMA and St Marks plus 2 tied for 5th Friends and FSMA. I know it does not matter!

Never too early to start keeping track of these points. I think Maryland starts their points watch pretty soon as well.

And let's go Baby Bulldogs!

I didn't use any tiebreaker but my own. I put them in order from where I have them ranked. Doesn't mean anything. Just my "lazy" way of doing things until the next few weeks are completed so I don't have so many tiebreakers lol

Woodbridge only has 5. They lost to Friends who is D2, so no bonus pts. Also, Laurel's first win was against Brandywine (D2) so 4 pts, not 6.

Tower also got a forfeit win from their week 2 game I believe. Friends has got an upcoming forfeit win. So these point totals are a little off. Also the laurel point total is not correct.

Great job.

I have 2 discrepancies.

Sussex Central with 11 (Queen Annes- D1)
Caravel with 2 (Edmonson - D1)

Not sure if it is right - but that is what my research shows.

Not sure what reasearch your doing but great schools. School digger etc are highly inaccurate. If your using MPSAA numbers for classification MPSAA onlly uses 9-11 just like PA. Also it’s the enrollment the year the contract was signed so if it’s a 2 year contract this years enrollment don’t matter. Edmonson was D2 last year so they are this year.

Caravel is right. One loss was only to Central. 1 point. Both other schools were D2.

Central queen Anne's was D1 so I fixed that

But now that we’re talking about points and indexes why does every other states athletic association post them. We just get the seedlings after they announce them but we don’t get to see the numbers. Why does every other state post their meating minutes days after they happen but DIAA posts them 2 months after the fact. I know it may be above board but it seems pretty shady in today’s Information Age. It’s like they just don’t want their numbers or decisions to be questioned

I confused myself Thought your we’re bringing In last year like i did. Was talking about MD Howard. I’m the one confused. No worries carry on your right

Each AD receives the info, and it is available to media members upon request when seedings are announced. Makes zero sense that it’s not posted publicly.

RR,
PA and MD only use grades 9-11 for enrollment.... Does that mean that a PA school has 300 students in each grade for a total of 1200 but they only count 900?

If that is the case, I would be interested in the reason behind it.

Not the schools or school boards for actual enrollment but PIAA and MPSAA ( the atheletic associations) use 9-11 for classification for sports. DIAA does not. The reason behind it is the next year the 12 class is gone and they don’t want to predict the next years incoming class. Allot of states do it that way.

My point was you can’t use those associations numbers to figure what team would be D1 or D2 in DE. You need the actual state enrollment the year the contract is signed. That information is hard to come by and DIAA doesn’t provide it to us like other states do. got to keep that good ole boy mystery going lol
