Delaware already plays the least games of any surround state. Could be devastating to Delaware high sports and put us back in the stone ages, 16 to 18 game seasons could be on the horizon?

Got to have more than 16. If you play everyone in your conference twice that would be your whole schedule. Unless they want to do it like the ACC and you only play certain teams once a year and the select few twice. No wonder Delaware never gets the heavy basketball exposure. Then nobody will score 1000 points anymore.

How much could it possibly cost to have a high school basketball game? 2 refs, lights on in the gym that would probably be used for something else if there was not a game, school bus costs for the away team and maybe a police officer? 200 people at $3 each should cover all expenses. Am I missing something?

Sort of. Its 5 refs, 2 jv and 3 varsity now (ref.s pushed that through). 2 officers and sometimes 3 for publics (5 for Glasgow...). Ticket people, clock operator etc..
Honestly, no one makes money on basketball, maybe Sallies. But only a few make money on football too when you add up 6 officials for varsity, 4 for jv/freshmen blah blah blah..
If its going to be about generating revenue, all the other sports are doomed.

Kids in sussex county have EXTREMELY limited skill development options. Even if coaches are willing to help with that, DIAA rules are in the way. And when it comes to study hall, that is not even a legitimate thing in most programs
