William Penn will get Blown out? Middletown Beat CR not Sallies. Will be a good game. William Penn has a good secondary. They did not look great against St Georges. But Dooley and his staff will be ready. Remember they are 3-1 against Middletown since he took Over. I think Middletown will win as well but it will be a 4Q tough game.

I know coach personally and his passion and dedication to the program is undeniable. We have spent many hours on his other job talking about all things WP football. If his kids aren't accepting the message this will frustrate, but not defeat him because he cares so much.

Dont have a QB ,, Burton is not a QB Great athlete yes.. Focuses on what is in front of him not down field.. QB 's need to feel the presure escape to space and look down field and find a place to get rid of the ball or run. He runs around like a chicken with is head cut off,, Certainy extends plays with his athlecticism but at some point you have to look up down field and find a place to get rid of the ball

whatever ,,, declararions or prediction its the same thing.. sometimes you are right sometimes your wrong,,, but Harford Tech is terrible so I guess Tatnall is worse such is life in the silk panty league. To be honest DE teams have have not fared well vs MD teams this year so far

The derogatory, disrespectful language you use these days when referring to high school kids (yes the teams are still kids) makes me hope for the outside chance that your account has been hacked and it's not the same guy on the board as last year. I have a problem with most things you say this season (at least the WAY you say things). Maybe in these "Trumpian" times we live in, it feels good to drop one-line, insulting comments on forums (like he does on Twitter). Maybe there is a renewed repulsion to political correctness...see your "silk panty" comments. Either way, I don't know your age, status (whether you have kids in school, are in school, a grandparent, etc). But I will have a Varsity athlete in high school from 2011 to 2020, consecutively. I couldn't imagine trashing teams like you do if you have kids in school. Where is the sportsmanship, respect, and maturity. Being a fan of some team shouldn't mean trashing other teams. Truth is, I don't know where you're coming from...I just don't get it.

If a little criticism is good, then why would you, the toughest of all men who frequent high school football message boards, block little old me for criticizing the things you say? Like when you criticized a current QB for being "what he is" and how he shouldn't have wasted the money it took to go to a camp because he's ONLY a borderline D1 QB (I'm paraphrasing) and then tucked your tail between your legs when his dad chimed in.

And YJM- in regards to the having a kid in school and respecting the kids there now, he is acting like such a professional high school criticizer/analyst because his kid is no longer in high school and that limits people's ability to say "hey but your kid is just a space holder for Caravel." I've seen this type of behavior many times in high school girls.

Who else in DE should be on Smyrna's schedule? There was a time when this schedule would have been plenty hard enough. You can't judge schedule as a joke just because Smyrna has gotten better. The best teams will meet in the playoffs in a small state like DE regardless of the schedule.

Would like to see the return of the Harvest Bowl between Middletown and Smyrna. Made sense to end it when MHS went D1, but now that they're both D1 it should return. Not quite sure why a school like CR isn't as competitive as they used to be, especially with almost 2000 students, but I'd rather see MHS play Smyrna yearly. Wish every game would be competitive but that's not reality with the current divisional alignments. I know there was talk of the "Rhode Island" model being considered, with teams of similar strength playing in the same conference. Something has to be done when traditionally successful teams like MHS and more recently Smyrna only have two to three "tough" games a year before the tournament. Sallies has a tougher time scheduling teams but is more battle tested come tourney time because of their schedule imho.

The term "jokes may have been too harsh after sitting back and reading it. But besides Smyrna, there isn't a playoff team in that conference. You can make a push for Tech, but they have showed they aren't ready to take that next step and be competitive against the top 5 teams yearly. Maybe this year is different, I would like to think so. But HN hasn't been relevant since 2008 when Central and CR both made the ship. Smyrna has finally risen to where we have been saying for years it would/could be. But as Smyrna has risen, everyone else has dropped.

Concord, Penn, have been constant playoff contenders and I feel like could beat any north team not named Smyrna, but because of the scheduling those two, sallies and Middletown practically play each other, they will beat up on each other, causing one of them to miss the playoffs...because of the point system.

I have been on record about how soft the scheduling is for teams, not just for Smyrna but for Middletown as well. But you have to admit, MT's schedule is just a bit more difficult than Smyrnas. I'm not saying Smyrna is only good because of scheduling, they are the best team in the state right now, whether they put MT, Concord or Penn on the schedule but they do have an easier road to the playoffs then anyone else in the state of Delaware, just my opinion:

Smyrna has no other choice than to play all of their conference teams. It's certainly not purposeful to have a "soft" schedule. In fact, last year, Judy reached out to DiNardo to schedule Sals because he wants to challenge his team. They will most definitely continue to play as this second year of the schedule ends. I can bet Mtown will be on that new schedule. Smyrna does not shy away from good competition.
