You are playing semantics... Caravel does not offer "scholarships" - ok - but their financial aid packages are not entirely based on need. Therefore, when there is an athlete they want, they find ways to lower the tuition for the player. It doesn't happen as much as it used to, but I know of kids ACROSS state lines that are contemplating Caravel because they have the option to go there for 2-4k rather than the 10k full price plan.

You happy?

If their financial situation dictates that and they qualify to get in then why not? Is it a problem if some 7' Nigerian gets a 35k financial aide grant to go to St Andrews?

Would like to see Delmar and CA play again. RR, by the way we have over 500 students in our district that live in MD. We may lead the state with "out of staters".

maybe.. I know one stud Clint Ferrazzo was from North East Md and dominated DE in wresting.. love that guy

Elkton is essentially Bear DE Hell CA .Red Lion and ST Marks are the only private school options for Cecil County kids other than driving an hour and a half crossing the $7 per cross bridge to MIAA schools in Baltimore or maybe John Carroll in Bel Air and by the way Cecil County public schools suck.. so there is that

"But sallies is the school to look at if you are worried about out of state players."

This topic has been beaten to death over the years. A big reason why Sallies draws a lot of OOS kids is due to two things. One, a huge alumni base who sends their sons to attend there and secondly, to a lack of local schools in nearby PA that offer a catholic school secondary education, Shanahan being the closest. Believe me, I have longed to have the school become more "athlete friendly" in regard to football and basketball just like the "athlete friendly" names like St. Joe Prep and La Salle in the PCL Red division. Not so long ago the powers in that division were Judge and Arch Carroll. Sallies President listened to me (as they do to all alumni donors) and I got nowhere. They will not compromise in any way. End of story. Anybody who tells you his neighbor's Sallies kid who is a hotshot in soccer or lax but is brain dead in the books is full of you know what.

I personally don't care where sallies gets their players from. I was just pointing out that if you do have a problem with it and your target is CA, your contempt is misplaced.

My "target" is not CA. I don't care about them in the slighest way. Never posted about them. Never cared to.

Obviously 2rets was responding to someone else or he has 2rets who knows? if he responds F'n fballs..m'fer c%^$t Then we know the answers

Ca or Sallies who cares where they get players, worry about the things you can control not the things you can’t. Don’t know a whole lot about either schools practices, all I know is when you play them, you have to bring it...game respect game, no excuses imo

It's not a problem at all. Just don't complain when teams don't schedule you b/c a) they are a public school who can't hand select students, or b) private schools with higher admission standards.

I personally think Caravel is one of the top 3 teams in D2 so not trying to diminish their talent and skill. Quite the opposite actually...

ever heard of school choice? anyone can hand select their students and go there for free.. Privates even with financial aide there is still always a fee

I was not referring to CA being your target. I was referring to the person who brought up CA. My response to you was that I wasn't trying to attack sallies' admission choices just pointing out the misplaced contempt.

CA can jump Archmere and Conrad but need Howard or Delmar to not win their conference both would require Glasgow to win by 23 over Howard or Delmar to lose to WB by more than 11 Assuming AO and Milf wins this week
