St. Mark's seems poised to do that thing where they get at least one tournament win by slowing down everything and frustrating their opponents. Heard Lee Sibley's back as an assistant, so that likely explains it.

If St. Marks makes and wins a playoff basketball game that’s ashame, it will show how down basketball in Delaware is. St. Marks vs. AI was a low end Jv level game yesterday. Neither team looked like a varsity basketball program. Travels, missed lay ups and turnovers everywhere and it wasn’t because of good defense.

St Marks Has 2 guys who can shoot the ball very well Leski and Gilardi. They play solid team defense and old school pick and roll basketball. I haven’t seen them this year but saw them twice last year. They are a very fundamentally sound team and does a good job of slowing down the tempo. They are very good at turning the game into a half court game. They don’t have the ball players to run and gun. They frustrate the heck out of opponents

It may not be entertaining which I totally agree w/ but St. Mark’s does what they have to do to stay in &/or win games whether we like it or not. They do not have the athletes to play a fast pace game so they slow it down & play good defense which is to their advantage. They have always done this & it works for them so I can’t be mad at them for that.

I can only imagine how good they'd be if they had 5-6 (or more) very good basketball players

They will be ok.. DE schedule is weak...

Sanford will be OK. They started off 1-4 last year too before handing eventual State Champ Smyrna their only in-State loss down at Slam Dunk To The Beach. They always have a tough early schedule vs out-of-state teams.

Sanford should run through the remainder of their schedule. The only possible regular season loss that remains is AC High. St. E’s, St. Gs and Sals are the toughest instate games left and that’s not saying much. The Warriors won’t be tested again until the Final 4.

I would like to see a more balanced schedule. I know that’s not always possible, especially since the stronger teams are usually tourney games around the holidays.

My prediction is 15-5 with an L vs. AC
